How to download, install and play Temple Run 2 on your PC and Mac

If you want to install and play the Temple Run 2 game on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Temple Run 2 for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Temple Run 2 game for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Temple Run 2 in the search bar and press Search. Click on Temple Run 2 game icon. A window of Temple Run 2 on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your Game will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed Games.
You should see the Temple Run 2 icon. Click on it and start playing the Game

Step 4: Temple Run 2 for Mac OS

Hi. Mac Gamer!
The steps to use Temple Run 2 for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get bluestacks here .

  • Why You Should play Temple Run 2

    By a Trustworthy Writer
Temple Run 2 is one of my absolute favorite games. It is addictive and you can achieve nearly everything you want, while still being new and fresh. Of course to have a game like Temple Run 2, you have to have a history. Temple Run 2 evolved from the original Temple Run, which is also neat to look at. Temple Run was an amazing game that attracted quite the fan following on iPhones, mainly because it was one of the featured games in the App Store for several months. Eventually, the creators had to many ideas for Temple Run and since Temple Run was getting old, they released Temple Run 2. Temple Run 2 is a very fun game. With daily, weekly, and global challenges, it keeps players engaged by offering rewards for each of these events. But with fame comes controversy, and there was a small one over Temple Run 2. For literal years, the game only had one free character, the male, Guy Dangerous. There was a small controversy at the time because the majority of people playing the game were female. So in 2014 the creators came out with the new, female free character, Scarlett Fox. But the journey of Temple Run 2 is not over yet, with new maps, challenges, and prizes - Temple Run 2 promises to continue an ever loved game.

Temple Run 2 is the best game if you try it will tell you everything you need to do if you don’t listen to the directions you will die but it gets faster once high score if you get a high score you want to get higher and if you download it it’s really good because you can duck if you Duck you will slide on your back. if you want to jump he will jump just slide your finger up if you slide your finger down you were it will tell you it won’t load a little bit but it’s really fast to loadThen if you steal it it will tell you when to steal it you press it and you’ll start running try to jump when you get on the tree he will lose you but he still behind you You won’t stopYou should try it it’s really good but if you get a lot of gems you can only can only go to get the gems of you have a lot if you have 100 it won’t only say one or two it will say save me free on the left it always say on the bottom video but it will only say that action one It’s really good you should try it if it says write me again I will write another review 👍🏽👩🏽👨🏽🦍🌈☀️ Im 6
  • One of the best games in the world but.....

I’ve been playing temple run for years now, I’ve played both TR & TR2. I love the fact that you get to run endlessly and there are cool things to purchase, including characters. But there is this one tiny problem which has been bugging me, the fact that coins become useless after some point in the game. Like I’ve said, I’ve been playing this game for years but now that I’ve unlocked every upgrade and every character the coins that I collect every run are gonna be useless. The only reason I collect the coins is so I can use my power up but after that it’s of no use to me. Of course I can use the head-starts but I’m not that kind of player. I hope on the next update I can use my coins for something more productive than head-starts. But other than this minor problem this game was built to satisfy the players and can be played anytime and any where, no matter your mood or age. This is a game you won’t wanna miss out on.
  • Addictive and Habit Forming

Love this game as always, and have been addicted since deployed in Southwest Asia in 2013. It’s great how the game is in continual development. I keep getting killed in Spooky Summit by getting distracted by the ghosts that spawn in the path. Their faces...Imangi personnel? I liked it better when the Artifact Treasure Chests were not numerous. Now they are more of an obstacle than a reward. The Frozen Festival map is fantastic, especially the ice caves. They sometimes can be the most challenging obstacle I’ve experienced so far. There is one serious glitch in any map. The involuntary advertisements that pop up when the game is paused sometimes fail to execute properly (on the iPad, not the iPhone). The game will then freeze/crash, and the progress will be lost. On a long rewarding run this is a huge disincentive to play. If some sort of mechanism could be coded that when an ad fails to execute, the game would return to functional play, that would be a major improvement.
  • Love it, but...

I’ve been playing this game since it was released and had tons of fun with it (my current daily challenge streak is 1328). Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of a couple of complaints about recent changes: 1) Gem bonus spinner disappeared with the last update; please bring it back!! (I want full value for my nonexistent virtual gems!) 2) Ads have been getting more intrusive/annoying over time. I would be quite happy to pay $5 for an ad-free version of the game; please consider changing the revenue model. I continue to admire the game’s graphics (though I wish they wouldn’t fiddle with established maps - Frozen Shadows was quite nice before all the banners and sword-hilt sculptures and such were added in, and I thought the first year’s Spooky Summit ghosts were more fun than the updated ones with people’s faces). But these are minor quibbles from a long-term player. It’s a fun game and I’m looking forward to a 2000-day streak!!
  • Love it but..

I have been playing TR and TR2 for years and have always loved it, especially the Lost Jungle world. I thought that particular one was the most beautiful and fun to play, however, when the free trial ended, I figured I liked it enough to buy. 500 gems, okay, how much is that? Open the store and you have 2 options: 240 gems for $20, or 650 for $50. So even if I decided to spend $40 (which I thought was a bit steep) that would still be 20 gems too short. So you HAVE to spend another 10 and get 150 extra gems if you don’t have at least 20 already. Granted, other people might like this but I personally never use gems and that would be a waste for me. Since I have been playing for a few years now I would have enough to purchase 2 bags of 240 and get the world, I’m not spending that much... the principle of it rubbed me the wrong way too. Love the game, but disgruntled by this detail. I don’t mind the original and new desert worlds, but I’ll probably be playing a lot less
  • Great game, but ads getting to be a pain

I love this game and, just finishing up the final level. I would give it five stars but, with the last update it is ad, after ad, and it's really putting me off the game. I never have and never will respond to an in-game ad. Just seems greedy. Update: The ads just keep getting worse and worse. Now we have constant, noisy, pop up video ads that take two clicks to fully dismiss. I figured out the cure though. I play the game In airplane mode or turn off wi-fi (I don't allow the game to use cellular). Ads are gone, completely. It's unfortunate it came to this. I would never click on an ad in a game, but I'd give them a little if my time if they weren't so intrusive. I'd even pay for ad free. The game is still great, but the intrusion into the game play, is a horrible experience.
  • A good idea to improve the game:

I love your guys' game. It's incredibly addictive and simplistic. But I feel there is a way to greatly enhance your game. Maybe you could add a mode in which you play with other players until only one person is left. Also the winner should win a game-related prize (I.e. coins, power ups, and new ways to decorate your character) Also, the ability to add won/found articles of clothing to your character would be cool. Thank you for reading this and I really hope you could make my ideas a part of your game. Being able to work towards fun prizes would improve your game a ton. -12 y/o gaming enthusiast

I love temple run. They keep it fresh by adding worlds and characters. They also have daily, weekly, and global challenges so you always have something to work towards. I play daily and would have given it five stars except for the intrusiveness of some of the ads. Some ads play loudly even if the sound is turned off on the game so you can’t play this in public places without turning the sound off on your whole phone. I have recently had some ads that won’t stop when you try to close them. You have to close the whole game to get the ad to stop . Most of the ads are fine but the few that are loud and won’t shut down are very frustrating.
  • Nice graphics, fun run, achievable upgrades. 🍃🌀🌾💀🚧

I'm enjoying this a lot, going slowly to achieve upgrades, also trying to learn how to do several turning moves at once. You must: jump, turn, crunch down, tilt right and left. Various hazards impede your progress and quick turns may have you jumping off a cliff! There is also a river to jump across or swim in, also with hazards but all paths have rewards in the forms of coins. And an occasional jump prize, like a magnet. If controls were a bit easier this would get five stars and maybe it will down the line if I discover I'm just lame. There are other characters and outfits you can fool around with. Small rewards for Facebook and Twitter acknowledgments. They say Free Videos for free coins but none are ever available. There are Daily and Weekly Challenges too. Fun, time consuming as you go over and over and cuss at the thing for not ducking under the tree in time! @&$+*^%%€<>~¥ Dirty rat fracking miserable moose headed flubjuss wonky! HA! OH, did I mention a big hairy monster is right behind you waiting for you to fail so it can eat you? Gimpy Smith Says Hi.
  • I think temple run is boring

    1
    By Game Critic 92
Temple run2 is fun but there is not a lot of action. For example, yes the graphics and all of that stuff is good, but all you are doing is swiping a screen. The chests and gems are cool but what do you really get that is good in a chest? You could get a new guy but what’s the difference? You could get some gems but it takes 500 gems to get a new world! Way overpriced. You could save up the a year and only have 40, maybe 50? I have Temple run 2 but never play it. And the run never ends. You just go in circles. And pass the same land marks over and over. You could be playing for hours and not get anything. Once again the chests are just random. This is why I believe Temple run2 is by far not the best game on my iPad, honestly I like reading my mail better. And I am just a kid! Therefore I don’t really like Temple run 2 or Temple run the original.
  • Fun, stable game!

I've played Temple Run 2 since it was released, having moved up from the original Temple Run. The game plays well, the simple controls are explained quickly but thoroughly in the tutorial, and the game itself is fun. Some maps are more challenging than others, like in any other game, but all have quality graphics and are seamless. There was only one glitch in the years I've played, which was in the last major update, but that was corrected within a day by the devs and my daily streak was restored by their support. Fantastic record as far as software goes! Recommended by me.
  • Needs More Substance

Overall, this game is a fun time killer. However, the charm was soon gone after saw the same objects 100 times. I wish there would be more content implemented, such as a story mode where there is an actual objective or ending. It drives me crazy that there is no real goal, and no room for the satisfaction of finishing a game. Secondly, a new Temple Run adaption could be created by making a prequel to the first two games. The story could be you must find the ancient relic, and must go through insane platforming puzzles in order to achieve this. Heck, I would even pay money for this, as well as many others. Otherwise, fun game in short bursts!
  • Global Challenge

    3
    By Majorbirdman
When in the Global Challenge, the little running man progress meter doesn't register current progress and it doesn't indicate when you have reached the next goal level in the challenge. However, when you close and then reopen to run again, the overall progress is not indicated in total meters run and goal levels met. I also noticed it did not allow head-starts while in this challenge. That probably was to eliminate someone just restarting and running with head starts to cheat on making the challenge goal quicker. Since I've already gotten the 50,000 meters and met the challenge, It didn't really interfere with making the challenge goal. 🏃
  • No complaints

    By MayTheHolySpiritLeadYou
Really, this is all around a pretty good game. It takes a lot of time to load up, and at the very least it takes five minutes to switch worlds- other than that it's pretty good. The first character I unlocked was Cleopatra, and I was so relieved when she was portrayed as African. The second character was Scarlet Fox, so no problem with "no women players" over here. It's pretty easy to get the hang of, and being able to switch worlds keeps you interested in the game for longer, rather than getting bored and doing something else.
  • It gets old.

    3
    By TheCriticYours
I love the way it works, like, the mechanics, they are good, and I think it might be good if you didn’t have to do the same thing over and over. I think it would be better if we had some change once in a while, like, really. We nearly have the same routine over and over. It gets supper boring. Also, the whole thing with death, and how each time there is a little bow that says how you die each time you fail, and there’s a little box, and it says a little message, like “you missed by *that* much.” Which I find rather offensive, at least rude. So if you don’t like being offended, then you should steer clear of this game.
  • Great game

I have been playing this game for months and I love it I've unlocked all the characters and just saving my gems to unlock more courses!! 500 gems is like 50$ in real money so that's kind of steep to pay that price. But I love how you can play some courses for free before you buy them or save up enough gems. Wish it didn't take so long to get that many gems but it's with playing I love it. Only thing I'd change is the daily streak the longer you play the more gems you should be able to get! Keep up the great work guys!
  • Super Addictive!

I have been playing it to get better and is helped me concentrate, I have never been able to do that before! I will never stop playing it’s so fun playing with new and funny characters! They are the best and I have a few but not all! I love the concept and that there are many more to come! It’s not like any other runner game! It’s funnier then any other! I love the photo and the messages when they die and it’s so rewarding when you get a gem 💎 I know I’m probably crazy but I have this game so don’t have to believe that!!
  • Nice job

So I like this game I feel like it is one of those classic games. It addictive and fun to play so you should download it! But one update that I think needs to be down is you can customize the monster! It would be so cool and funny. Like you should make it into a bird / narwhal! That would probably be really cool and fun. So there isn't anything bad about the game! Because they're is like no adds at all! So I'm just saying you should add one thing! So this is a good review for the makers of this game. So stop reading this and download this game right now!!!👍

I love Temple Run and Temple Run 2. (I like Temple Run 2 more though) Its a terrific game I recommend it. It gets addictive. The more I play it the more it gets addictive and of course Temple Run 2 has to have a history since it has the letter 2. Temple Run 2 was created after the Original Temple Run a good game. Next the creators (Imagni Studio’s) Decided to make Another version of Temple Run which was of course Temple Run 2. Except the only thing that bother’s me is the adds that pop of constantly very annoying. I still am giving the game 5 stars though.
  • New and improved!

I’ve been playing this game since it’s release, well, I stopped for a few years... but then I re-downloaded it! And wow it’s even better than before! The trail has more challenges, there are more characters to play as and fun hats to unlock! I wasn’t expecting so many changes, but none to the actual game play, just to the experience! I love the different maps, my favorite is the Lost Jungle! and I love the daily quests providing more opportunity to gain coins and gems than ever before!
  • There's no incentive

    5
    By Terry Neill
So as playing this game used to be fun but there's no incentive and playing this game any longer. You can get all the coins you want but can't buy anything with them once you get all your powers throughout the game. The only thing that you can get his new outfits no more powers and then gave becomes monotonous. Not that they would listen to Us. But this game needs some serious upgrades. So if you start playing this game you'll quickly find out you'll be bored out of your mind.

I use this to pass time while waiting on anything that bores me. Thanks One issue currently. Powerup quest during current challenges it ask us to use a boost. I can’t figure out what it is we are suppose to do. Thank you for responding. Your answer tells me to equip a boost, then collect enough coins while running to fill the meter. The once full use the boost. I did that using each boost item and the contest did not show I used the a power up. I guess maybe I am just slow but I still have not activated one power up quest. Still like the game very much.

This is a great game for passing time. The only problem is that I have over 2million points and 1450diamonds and there's nothing to spend them on besides maps and they add those for each season so it's not worth spending diamonds 💎 on the maps and last thing is there's way 2 many adds and idk what people are saying about having to spend money on diamonds 💎 if u do challenges u get 20 just like that But this is the game i love the most 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄👍 ps: only problem is they added way too many adds I wish that would stop though
