How to download, install and play Candy Crush Saga on your PC and Mac

If you want to install and play the Candy Crush Saga game on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Candy Crush Saga for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Candy Crush Saga game for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Candy Crush Saga in the search bar and press Search. Click on Candy Crush Saga game icon. A window of Candy Crush Saga on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your Game will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed Games.
You should see the Candy Crush Saga icon. Click on it and start playing the Game

Step 4: Candy Crush Saga for Mac OS

Hi. Mac Gamer!
The steps to use Candy Crush Saga for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get bluestacks here .

Game Reviews

  • Love/Hate relationship

    By Kennamarie13
I love this game and am very addicted, don’t get me wrong, but there are a couple things that really make me mad about it. First, every time I get to spin that color wheel, I am this close to getting the jackpot, but there’s a 0% chance you will ACTUALLY land on jackpot which is really annoying. Why have the option, if the game will never let anyone get it? The next thing that makes me want to stop playing is the piggy bank. That thing has been full for weeks and it’s not even mine! I have to spend like 3 bucks on the thing. You thought! I just get constant reminders that my piggy bank is full which bothers me more and more every time. No kidding it’s full, but reminding me won’t make me wanna spend $3 on it. Then there’s the gold bars. It takes a good month just to get one of those things and I don’t even know how I get one in the first place. Finally, when I run out of moves and see that all I need is one more simple move to pass the level, the best thing is seeing the pop up telling me to spin for more moves, when in reality, there are only like 3 chances for me to get more moves!! The other options are just other boosters! That is great and all, but you’re not really giving me what you said you were, and I don’t want a booster when I am one move away from passing the level! So, these are just a few really obnoxious and annoying flaws this game has. Again, don’t get me wrong, I’m VERY addicted, but I only gave 4 stars for a reason.
  • Another easy King game

    By Dirty_Nurse_Halo
3530 levels completed, $0.00 spent on boosters/extra moves. I don't see how King makes any money off of these games, there are so many ways to earn boosters that nobody needs to purchase any. Anyone with even half a brain can figure out how to utilize the “helmet” and “spaceship” features to easily overcome the new levels while using very few stored boosters of their own(which are quickly replenished by the daily spin/reward/candy drops). I was shocked to have actually landed on Jackpot on my daily spin, it's the first time in the three years I've been spinning it to have actually gotten it. I landed on it again recently and now that makes twice, and I’ve only gotten the checkmark booster 4 times total with - on average - almost 2 spins daily since the feature was introduced about 3 years ago. I still wish they'd replace it with a gold bar and have all spaces receive the same probability of being landed upon. I love all the reviews complaining about the suggested move feature...for me this is a thing that rarely occurs as I mostly have my next move planned as soon as the pieces fall. The rare times it does suggest a move I ignore it and survey the board myself. I’m not sure why people complain about this feature as it’s not like the game is forcing you to make the move, it’s just trying to speed up gameplay to a normal pace.

The mechanics, artwork, and gameplay are all really engaging and fun especially for an app game. Lots of opportunities to win boosters for free, which I think makes the game fair even to non paying players. I played CCS for a while after it first came out and shelled out a few bucks now and then, and have now come back and find it even easier to play without spending anything. I only have two minor complaints. First of all, the game does everything it can to convince you that you're really close to finishing a level even when you're not (thereby convincing you to buy extra moves). I feel like that's dishonest... especially to young children who might be playing the game. If you're nowhere near finishing a level don't have little characters come out and cry about the disasters that giving up will wreak on their world. If you ARE genuinely close to winning then sure, tell me so. The other is just an annoyance. The title screen opens with "you're in control!" and "next swipe? Your choice!" I feel like this is several levels of extra. I'm not playing an app game because I'm looking for a power trip, and we all know matching games are 90% luck anyways. Statements like these just feel clunky and inorganic for this type of gameplay. Like?? I feel like I'm being treated like a mindless consumer ready to jump at special buzzwords to make me more addicted. Can you not?
  • Still a fun game

    By Flygurl1966
I consider myself a candy crush addict as i am working my way through all the levels for the 2nd time. Obviously, i like it but there are a few things that have almost caused me to delete the game and move on to something else. The biggest issue i have is that there are a few levels that you have absolutely zero chance to complete unless you make an in-app purchase. Sometimes not just one but several. I had decided when i started the 2nd go around that i was just going to play and not spend any money but a couple of these levels are just so irritating that i went ahead and made the purchase just to move on. It’s really not fun when you know the level is unbeatable. If this keeps happening I’ll just find some previous levels that i like and that are actually beatable and just play those or i will go ahead and delete the game. I do like that they have added a feature that allows you to skip through the continuously exploding candy when you finish a level as this can go on & on & on and gets annoying. One last thing, if you take too long to make a move the game will “suggest” your next move with blinking candies. It would be nice if it would suggest the BEST move to help you out and not just some random move. All in all it’s still a mindlessly fun game to play.

2017 Update: (3-Stars) I've started playing again after we lost all power & internet during Hurricane Irma. It basically reset the game, which I'm ok with. I don't mind putting a few dollars into a well made & well oiled game and they seem to take pretty good care of this one... They've actually seemed to implement a lot of new ways to get bonus materials to help you along that weren't available before. The craze has even made its way towards television... Tho I am thinking that weird Game Show they made about this game doesn't have a long shelf-life Original 2014 Review: (2 Stars) Candy Crush in itself is a fun & extremely addicting game/app... However, once you get to a certain point you either have to pay for new levels or ask friends to help you unlock them (even if you have 3 stars on every level up until that point.) Unfortunately, not many ppl are still playing these days because there is a lack of updates and new levels for long-time players. You rly don't have to spend a lot of money, but if you prefer to climb the ranks via hardwork & dedication... You might find yourself in a sticky situation, going nowhere fast... And what's the point of spending money to advance if there's no one playing to help you along your way.
  • Rip off!!

    By Jojo_499
This game is great, until you get to higher levels that you can't beat!! It has taken me two days to pass each level! Yes they warn you and tell you which ones are gonna be hard but you should be able to pass them without looking up hacks and getting help from others. Second of all, don't make the switches that the game tells you to!! Just now, I was playing the game and the only switch I could make was with my boost and I didn't want to use my boost yet cause I needed it later to break some of the barriers. Well no I had to use it because there were no possible switches. It didn't even work because It made the boost go a way that it wouldn't be used because there were barriers! So I wasted a boost. Third of all, they give you so little moves for so much that has to be done! my life is boost city cause I can't complete it all by myself!! Fourth of all, it always makes moves for you!!! So fist I will make a move and then all of the candy will move down and refill the open slots. While it is doing that I find a great move that will help me a lot, then next thing you know this move is gone because the game took it away because it made a match and it wasn't the kind of match that I was going to make it. So then I'm back at square 1 because I couldn't make the move that would of help me win!! Overall it's a game that you would get for a bit but then delete because you never play it anymore!
  • Still waiting...........

    By LogoLady2
Another follow up because they keep asking for another rating. So here it is again! Nothing has changed. Still haven't received a mystery box. Still like the game though. Follow up - 4 months have gone by and I still haven't received the mystery box! A couple of months ago I purchased the bundle for $6.99. Not only did I not receive a mystery box, which I understand has happened to many who have purchased this bundle, but I received less than the correct number of gold bars. Do you think anyone responded to my issue after contacting the app developer? Nope! Don't waste your money on purchasing anything from them. Their pockets are getting heavier. If I could rate this game a minus zero, I would - just because of their non response! Well a month has gone by and I still haven't received my mystery box. What a shame! 2018 and I still like the game. However, I am still waiting for that mystery box! So, months have continued to pass by. Lol, loving the game. It has become more interesting over the years. PS - still waiting for the mystery box.........a few days have passed by since my last review. I still like the game, but doggone it I wish I would receive that mystery box! Lol. Waiting patiently..............
  • Running Out of Moves

    By stupid apo
Don’t get me wrong, I love this game. But it has its flaws. When you fail a level, normally you can see that you only need one simple move to pass it. It gives me the option for 5 more moves, but you have to buy it with “gold bars”. Like, who wants “gold bars”? You spend way too much money to BUY them, so no, I’m not using gold bars. I don’t even know how you earn them! I got 5 for downloading the app, and that’s all I’ve ever received. You would think they would have a solution if you went to the help center, but no. I get that they have to gather money somehow, but they would get far more if they didn’t charge $3 a pop. More people would buy, more money. But it also makes no sense to put in your credit card number and spend all your sweet time to buy a 10 pack of gold bars for $3.00. It will also give you and option to “spin the wheel”. No one EVER gets the jackpot, because it’s rigged. Like, why would you even put the jackpot on there if no one can get it?! Plus it gives you an option to spin and win a “booster”. Like why would you want a booster if your out of moves and can’t use it to pass your level?! They could at least give you one more move to burst that one jelly cube you have left. Other that the above, this game is totally awesome!
  • Why 4 stars?

    By R¥|!E
Well, Don’t get me wrong the game is addicting!! I have got pretty far into the game, and in that time I’ve noticed some little issues that tick me off a little. 1.) The spin- The “Daily spin” has a jackpot opportunity, but it’s impossible to receive! The spin is always hardly on the “Jackpot”. I know many people who play Candy crush, I’m one of those people, and they have never hit the “Jackpot”! Now i get it’s special, but don’t tease people like there going to get it! At least make it possible to get. 2.) Lives- Yes the idea of the “5 Lives” we get is smart, But it gets on my nerves so much! Maybe if they added 10 lives? It would be better. 3.) Levels- As you get farther in the game, you will notice levels get harder, (This is expected) I don’t mind the levels getting harder, it makes sense! But, They are just a little to hard to pass. Some I am plain out confused on! I’m stuck on this one level just figuring out what I’m supposed to achieve. Now that’s some ranting that I just had to say. Yes there are other flaws, but I think I recognized most of the problems. I do love the game, It’s addicting! I log on as much as I can to try to beat yet another level! They did a great job on the game. I recommend to play the game. ~ A confused but addicted person🤣
  • Annoyed with latest changes

    By ElfieRod
I love this game but the makers are a bit too greedy for my taste. I'm annoyed that they have removed the feature where you can send lives and extra moves to friends. Presumably this is to force you to buy extra lives. Well I refuse to buy extra lives but I DO buy moves and boosters, so they are losing money on me because now I play my five lives and then move on to another game. If they'd let me have lives from friends like in the past I would probably have spent money on moves and boosters. Also, why is it when the game ends and you have to decide whether to quit or play on, that you cannot see the board so you can actually decide? You should have the option to review. Finally I don't like being placed in a contest (usually just as I hit a super hard level) that I could care less about? Again, this is presumably to get me to spend money to be in the top three. I ignore this but then I dislike being told I'll do better next time like I was trying to win. Anyway, despite all it's a great game and will entertain you for hours.
  • Don’t waste time on stripe candy contest

    By Katttzz
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME ON STRIPE CANDY CONTEST!! In most cases it takes a lot of time, effort and money to win, only to receive 3 bonus boosters that are only good for 1 hour!! As big as Candy Crush is, as much money as a lot of us have spent, they could reward us with so much more!! Every other contest I’ve played on other games gives at least triple the amount in prizes!! This game use to be my favorite game, I played it every day and spent a lot of money, NOT ANY MORE!! The levels have gotten way too hard and the prizes aren’t worth it!! Very disappointed in CC!! Just because we are on the higher levels doesn’t mean we don’t like to win levels in one or two attempts! DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME BECAUSE ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MAKING MONEY OFF EACH LEVEL AND THEY ARE TOO CHEAP TO ACTUALLY REWARD US WITH GOOD PRIZES IF YOU PLAY IN THE COMPETITIONS!! Seriously I took a break from this game after playing it every day for years, I thought I would give them a try again, won the competition I was in, only to be even more disappointed than last time! CC you just lost me again! Stop with the commercials and focus on making the game like it use to be!! Make the higher levels easier and increase the rewards like the other games and then you’ll get people back!
  • Don’t upgrade your phone!

    By jimnicmot
Well since most cell phones are lease now, you are locked in to upgrade or pay for a lease that goes no where or buy your phone that you’ve paid on for 2 years... anyway... disappointed that when I did upgrade and I loaded phone from a back up, my bonus speckle ball, lollipops, wheels, etc that start at beginning of each game were all gone. I had saved 100’s of these to use on very hard levels. I’m at level 1002 and all my bonuses are gone. This is only candy crush game that it happened to. In candy crush soda and jelly, my game bonuses were saved. That’s very frustrating. If I didn’t love the game, I’d stop playing. It will definitely put a damper on playing the game. Second star deducted because that stupid gold bar bank... whoo, I get to purchase bars I earned... for $2.99! Wow, what a deal!!...NOT! And it constantly reminds me that it’s full and I need to purchase them. And full at 60... I’ve added way more than that to bank that isn’t even counted. I’ll purchase my 1000 bars that never gets accumulated for $3?? Get real... reset the bank or make it go away completely.
  • Too frustrating now

    By Lskrefvhjtffbh
I'm close to level 1000, and there are now way too many "hard levels" and "super hard levels". Even some "regular" levels are very hard to beat. I play this to relax, not to get frustrated. This game is only about 5% skill. The other 95% is the algorithm that controls the outcome, regardless of how clever you are. You will only finish a level when the algorithm decides to let you. I don't mind using power ups, even several per level, but only when I am within reasonable sight of success. When there is no hope of winning a level, I'm not going to use 15 or 20 - or more - power ups to win. It's quite ironic that the loading screen now says things like "relax and play candy" or "you are in control" when the game just brings frustration (not relaxation) and I know darn well that a computer is in control, not me or my skill. All of this is just making me play less and less, and I know there are many people who feel the same way. When King updates the game, their update notes in the App Store say "Coming back after a break? It's about time!" Why do they think people take a break in the first place? Because the game frustrates the crap out of them by being rigged!
  • Need To Buy To Move Forward

    By WJaMhIll
I’m on level “gazillion,” and I’ve noticed a player MUST purchase additional functionality in order to move forward. I’m willing to do so from time to time, but I get to the point where I cease playing for days or weeks if I swiftly exhaust a purchase but still can’t play through the impossible level. Unfortunately, the new Apple software upgrade forces touch ID; though mine works for other programs, it won’t in Candy Crush saga. So I can no longer purchase, either! I give it three stars because it IS enjoyable when you can play casually. I take two stars because playing casually is only a rare option now. I suppose I’m not the usual “gamer” if I just want to wile away 15 or 20 minutes without undue complications. When I’m playing, it’s solely for relaxation, so I feel no need to beat other players, to compare myself to other players, to send or receive “lives,” to share my goings on with the world via social media platforms, or to challenge myself in mindlessness (the later of which is an oxymoronic pursuit). Please: just let me play!
  • Annoying features and more

    By JBKMLGGamer
When I start a new level with boosters from an event (especially with color bombs), the game "zaps" the boosters into existence. Here is where the problem starts. Because the color bomb (CB) was zapped onto a color (say, orange) if I use a color bomb, or put 2 oranges together (usually on accident) next to the CB, it detonates bc the game thinks its a CB AND an orange candy. This is extremely annoying bc the CBs detonate without me using them. PLEASE FIX THIS!!! PUT IT BACK TO THE OLD WAY WHERE THEY WERE ALREADY IN THE LEVEL WITHOUT THEM BEING "ZAPPED" INTO EXISTENCE! More annoying things: why did u make levels 223, 237, 252(my used-to-be fav), and more MOVES LEVELS!? Level 252 especially, where u could play infinitely bc time candies kept coming down, u shouldn't have changed it! Change it back! Don't "fix" things that aren't broken! Also, why do I need to look at AT LEAST 2 events before I go onto another level? Usually idc about the events. Can there be a way to turn this off? Lastly, why is there a piggy bank that COSTS $2.99 TO BUY? If I earn the gold from playing levels, I shouldn't have to buy them, especially for $2.99 EVERY TIME I FILL IT UP!!! That's what EARNING means! Please make it free, or at least lower the price.
  • Candy Crush Saga

    By Suzy"Q"
I played the game a long time ago and was stuck at one level where I could not advance, no matter what I tried. I was very frustrated and decided not to play for awhile. I kept seeing the ad on the TV and decided to give it another go. Although I had to start at the beginning again, I quickly advanced and could see that there were a lot of positive changes in the game. I got to that level where I had been stuck before and thought "I wonder what's going to happen this time". I didn't get stuck. There were changes that made it possible to use skills to get through. I was very happy! I've kept going and I'm still enjoying it. My least favorite part is the chocolate that never stops giving and giving.......... It also seems ironic to have to pay for the gold bars I've earned. I'd rather pay for extra bars, not the ones I've earned playing the game. The colors are vivid and the graphics are humorous.
  • A bit of business advice

    By Penguinepopper
This game is the game that changed he world, everyone was quite obsessed with it at a time and there wasn’t anyone who didn’t play it, however as the years have gone on, the developers and owners are clearly looking for any reason to collect money and it’s very easy to see through. The way the game is set up is of course to make you feel like you’re not spending real money and lead you to buy more, but what I see with this game is a lot of these attention grabbing money making chances, for example the piggy bank is timed and makes you wait and collect gold until you can actually spend real money to get the gold you “earned” these clear attempts at trying to make money are a problem, subtlety should really be in the minds of the team in charge of the in-game purchases, especially with such a vulnerable age demographic, that being children and old people- it’s safe to say that there could be far better decisions with making money with this game
  • Too much cheating and ridiculous money costs

    By SuperSJ235
I don’t ever do reviews on games and the reason why I felt I needed to write this one really does agitate me as a gamer. So I got to level 129 and still had 4 moves left but because the level had no more shuffle options it decided to hit me with an OOPS message then forced me to give up a life. It’s not my fault your system ran out of candy to shuffle which is absolutely ridiculous. I earned gold and candy crush wants me to still pay for it .....not happening. Candy Crush is a great game but they are unreasonable and money hungry. We are already limited to a certain amount of lives so all the extra costs they want u to pay for boosters and the stuff u earn like gold etc. is unrealistic, unacceptable and makes u not want to play the game anymore. Like why even allow me to earn game perks if your still going to have me pay for what I’ve earned. I’m really considering uninstalling Candy Crush again. If they keep this up or get any worse soon everyone will recognize the cheating and money hungry ways of this game. Candy Crush Creators please go back to the drawing board ASAP.
  • Robbery

    By Happy_mati
This game, including all of the "crush" games are fixed. I've actually gotten into this game, in terms of figuring out the boards and how candies fall. I am telling you. Some if not all of the "very hard level" boards are impossible to do without boosters, unless you are willing to play 21 times, then for some reason the 22nd game of the level becomes insanely easy. As for my claim of robbery... that I was essentially robbed of all my achievements in this game, all because I didn't play for a few months. That's right. I spent money to get boosters, extra lives/turns etc. over a years time (trust me it was a lot of $$) all of which are gone. I figured that by logging in with the same Facebook I would be fine. It linked well enough to adjust my friends list and there placements on the board. But I had to start from level one. That to me is theft. On terms of entertainment it definitely keeps you busy and is really fun. Those are the positives. This time around I'm keeping spending to a minimum. Use 5 lives at a time and wait for it to renew. Never again will I spend money like I did before. Never.
  • Love/hate relationship with Candy Crush

    By Jenstheone
Love: addicting (but maybe that should be a hate, lol), really fun, nice way to pass time when bored or waiting in lines - I’ve been playing for at least 3-4 years now and at over level 2000. Can’t seem to give up this particular game and it’s only one of two that I keep playing. Hate: way too many things to click now just to get to play the game. Not interested in baby dinosaur feedings, readerboard stats or anything else annoying to click thru... just let the game be played! Also hate that donut wheel boosters on the daily spin are constantly rewarded, but I can’t EVER seem to use them. I have on average only 1-3 rewards of every other type of booster, and literally 64 donut wheels I don’t get to use... sheesh. Please change that! Same to the jackpot option on the spinning wheel- why bother if you aren’t ever going to reward a jackpot? Would love to see more lollipop hammers and hand switching boosters given out freely. Thanks for considering this feedback!
  • Fix latest issues and will put 5 stars

    By dustinshull
Love the game! Although, with the latest update, I’m trying to strategically use my striped candies, exploding candies and color bombs, but they are exploding on their own. I will be doing a move on the opposite side of the board and every single power up I have will just go off on the opposite side, regardless of whether it was hit or not. I have even watched them as I make moves and there is no way they should trigger. I have also noticed when I’m trying to make a striped or exploding candy, it will sometimes make a color bomb or nothing at all. Don’t get me wrong, I love a color bomb, but when the objective is striped candies, it can be frustrating when you aren’t getting what you’re supposed to. It’s also making the striped candies in the wrong direction. Also frustrating when you are trying to accomplish something. Outside of those annoying issues, I play this game every day. Once issues are fixed I’ll make the rating higher. Just a little annoyed glitches are slowing me down.
  • Room for improvement

    By Rplantfght
Let me get this out of the way before my rant- this game is actually pretty decent. But there are a lot of improvements I would make, including, but not limited to- I think you should be able to unlock striped and wrapped power-ups earlier in the game. I have about 25 of those power-ups just laying there, totally wanting to be used. I like how you can get more power-ups the more you complete levels on your first try- but when I get stuck on a boss level- I don’t have that. So maybe have like three strikes before you remove the extra power-ups? This last thing is for the people who have played- but haven’t downloaded it on one of their devices- can you make it so we can skip the tutorial? It’s kind of crappy having to sit through the tutorial saying how to work your freaking phone, when, in reality, you know how to play. Overall decent game. One last think- STOP MAKING ME HAVE TO BUY THOSE STINKING LIVES! Warm regards, Broke due to Candy Crush
  • Dumbing us down

    By Sharm!!
I enjoy this game a lot. Although it is obviously rigged so players might consider buying his/her way out of a game instead of being created so that its players become smarter. Personally, all games should cost 1price, 1x, and skills earn you special prizes. Why should a game creator get paid over and over for a game created years ago?! And how disgusting that this company's members earn money by setting up games so that a player chooses a cheat tool instead of choosing to improve their skills. Gross gross gross. Many rounds are designed to be impossible to win regardless of skill. Why are game companies not providing it's players with opportunities to get smarter? Instead players are being expected to be rich with a dumbed down brain. Hmmm...bad equation!! And furthermore, why can't I shut off the blinking suggestions? Especially since they are always the wrong choice! I'm almost done playing this game forever because the creators are dedicated to creating a stupid society.
  • Fun and Addictive, but....

No doubt, this game is very well-designed and very addictive to play. With that said, know that if you want to start playing Candy Crush that you will have to pay money to advance through the game. There are levels scattered throughout that are next to impossible to get through without purchasing extra turns and boosters to help you break through. It is pretty frustrating for sure. And I’m sure King Games will say that all levels are achievable without paying to do it, but getting through those levels without purchased boosters and extra turns is probably about the same as winning the lottery. The chances really are that low. Also, the daily booster wheel is a total scam! I have been playing the game for over three years and have hit the jackpot once. That is statistically impossible. So, like many games, Candy Crush is designed to drain your wallet. But it is fun and I admit I am addicted to it, being the sucker I am.
