How to download, install and play 8 Ball Pool™ on your PC and Mac

If you want to install and play the 8 Ball Pool™ game on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use 8 Ball Pool™ for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: 8 Ball Pool™ game for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type 8 Ball Pool™ in the search bar and press Search. Click on 8 Ball Pool™ game icon. A window of 8 Ball Pool™ on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your Game will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed Games.
You should see the 8 Ball Pool™ icon. Click on it and start playing the Game

Step 4: 8 Ball Pool™ for Mac OS

Hi. Mac Gamer!
The steps to use 8 Ball Pool™ for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get bluestacks here .

  • Don't waste your time!

    By Poolstudent
This is the one of the all time worst games I have ever played in my life! The luck to skill ratio has to be 1352 to 1. I know it's just a game app and it is not the real game but the amount of all I have to do it hit the balls hard and anything goes in is crazy. It would be fine if the app was letting it work both ways but it doesn't. There has been numerous times when my opponent could barely see their object ball and was able to get it in a pocket by only hitting it hard, no spin at all, and not even scratching or completely not getting it in a pocket and perfectly set up for the next shot. If anything it's a hype game because if anyone were to do that in a real game would be sadly disappointed in the misses they will be making and quit on the game of billiards because of an illusion this app creates. Anyone who actually plays billiards in REAL LIFE and are new to pool and want to learn I don't recommend this game for you. This will not teach you how to play but to depend on getting lucky even more then playing pool on uneven tables at Bars. There are plenty better options out there like "Cue Billiard Club: 8 Ball Pool & Snooker" and "8 Ball Pool-Billiards" to name a few. This app will rob you of enjoying and learning from a great sport like Billiards with lucky phantom shots that you will never perform in REAL LIFE, including pros can't even make those shots, and constant frustration.
  • Best Pool Game ...

    By Jon&Jen72
I’ve played yet. OK it’s the first pool game I’ve downloaded but I doubt there’s a better one out there. Free version has a discreet ad crawler at the bottom of your screen but it doesn’t interfere with your view, It starts out with only 8 Ball available but you quickly unlock 9 Ball too. Game graphics are excellent. Ball physics are pretty accurate overall. You can even apply English to your shot to draw or curve the cue ball to help set up your next shot. My only complaint would be that your “shot clock” (the time you have to take each shot) is like 15 seconds +/- which is long enough for your opponent to cheat by laying down a ruler on his phone to line up a perfect shot. The opponents I get on 9 Ball are always ridiculously good. Still the game has tons of cues, rings, money and special locations to unlock which keeps you interested. Best part is that you can advance up through the ranks without spending a dime of real money. Anyone who gives this game a bad review probably works for a competitor’s company. Or they’re just one of those Mr. Complainy-Pants Debbie Downer Troll types who run around online looking to criticize everything. Those people are angry about their own lives and their reviews should not be given serious consideration. Kinda like food critics.
  • Glitches or intentional?

    By SampsonD
I like the different game goals (rings) and the look of different tables and options it gives, but other than that I’m not impressed. One problem is it doesn’t match you with players in your “ranking or experience”. A beginner may end up with an opponent that has been classified as a pro or better, depending on how long they’ve been playing. Also too many interruptions when playing with challenger banners or wanting you to challenge your FB friends. The cue stick charges don’t last through a game if you have a bad break then you may have to recharge more than once for consistent shots and that’s in addition to placing a bet. The balls sometimes can hang half over a pocket to drop then it jolts back towards the table, but the cue can too often roll with ease for a scratch. It’s just a bit fishy when you AND your opponents ball should have dropped but jolts back from the hole. There are a few more minor issues that are annoying like not being able to type your own text for chat. I’d rather it was emojis than some of the stupid pretext messages and then you have to buy more if you want to add some. Shows a lot of greed. Plus it’s anybody’s guess as to who is going to break. If you play 5 games in a row with a different player each game you may not get to break on any of those even if you lost previously. All of this is even after purchasing the app. 🙄
  • Fun

    By Backspinforce
I have played this game for years. If you take your time and play the games based on coins within your means it is fun. Nobody likes to lose but is addictive. With 8 & 9 ball and then tournaments, play different ones when you have made bad shots and lost or want to extend your fun. I do get mad at times like everyone else but if you are playing low coin games you can have lots of fun and then can add your messages to create more stress so if it good luck or trash talk all goes both ways back and forth. You get free coins every day and can watch videos for more too. Like any other game when you get mad or bored give it a break for a couple days and come back to it. I have played this game for fun when traveling or at a doctors office waiting and connection is important but at home you can play friends and message each other in the game which makes it more fun. I switch among 8&9 ball and tournaments with different coin values and even though I do lose when I thought I wasn’t it still give new life when you lost and then you finally win again. Probably one of my overall favorite apps too so give it a try for a while if you like pool!
  • Cheats you of time & money

    By ImaUserNoMore
Although this game can be enjoyable when working properly, it often has what it labels as “connection slow” issues. If you tap on a profile during this event, you will see the message “updating.” When this happens and it finishes its update, you could potentially be losing time leaving you no time to aim and shoot causing you to lose your turn. This has often caused players to lose the game & money if you pay for any additional coins. It makes it appear that your connection is slow but in reality the games’ network is overburdened. This is happening more frequently than when I first started playing. There are other minor issues which aren’t worth mentioning. But the so called “slow connection” issue is the worst and why I keep rating it with 3 stars. UPDATE: After reading some other reviews, I agree that there are bots especially when chat comments like Never Give Up are used when it makes no sense. I agree with seems that most players are in countries other than my own and skill levels not matched. I agree that it cheats you out of money and algorithyms used seem to cause you to lose. There seems to be lack of support but increase in glitches. What I don’t get is why it’s still labeled as the Editor’s Choice. Therefore I’m downgrading the rating to 2 stars.
  • Ok game

    By Indyglf
It’s an ok game. Usually just play to pass time while sitting around. Game constantly wants you to buy in app purchases, not going to happen. Why would anyone spend their money to buy coins not like you’re winning real money. Your never going to win any decent amount of coins on your free daily spin because of course they immediately give you a chance to buy another spin. I sometimes wonder if they even give you the little bit of coins you do win because the game hides your total amount when you spin so unless you remember to check your total before you spin you never know if you get the actual coins. Game has some annoying glitches as well, like when you put a ball right in front of a pocket and the app moves the ball back away from it. This happens every game. Another annoying glitch is if you hit your last ball in and the 8 ball in on the same shot it gives the win to your opponent this should not be the case especially when your last ball goes in long before the 8 ball drops. Of course the main goal of this game is to make the developers loads of money so they are going to do everything in their power to get you to spend more money. Have never made any in app purchases and never will.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
  • 8 Ball Pool

By far the best game I’ve ever played. I started playing this game in 2011, stopped because I had forgot about it and then started it back up and everyday when I get off of work and get home I sit down and play to wind down and have a good time. I hardly ever win, (I mean my percentage is lower than 35%! Lol), but I still look forward to it everyday. I’m surprised that people have constantly stated that there is glitches and issues. I have played this game for years, across many different platforms and versions, NEVER HAVE I HAD ANY ISSUES, when the connection is having issues, it is my understanding that it is the internet connection of myself or my opponent, and in this kind of situation if you wait it out then you will become the winner at the end of time out. I assume that both parties are assumed winners and I think that is a great way to deal with any issues among players. I’m assuming that the people who complain are just sore losers, and can’t be ok with accepting a loss. I think it’s fun either way win or lose, but I do think that I should be better by now with all the time I have played haha.
  • This game is RIGGED

    By LorenzoGThomas
I gave it 2 stars because used to enjoy playing it. But once I started to jump on some of the deals (.99 cents - 1.99) things changed. I started getting cheated out of games. There is no way I will be able to explain all that has happened for people to get an understanding of what I mean. I just can’t understand the physical logic of how I can be “right next” to the 8 ball on the last shot (say bottom left pocket) and I would literally just “tap” that ball..I mean literally JUST TAP it and that cue ball would bounce 2 rails and scratch on me on the opposite end of the table...there was not that much power put into the shot for that to have happened and yet it has happened multiple times over and over and over...please understand me when I say I TAPPED that ball, I mean I moved that cue stick the shortest amount possible...no one will get it so I will stop trying to explain it... but I feel cheated here, game was fun, but there are tooooo many physical impossibilities I have seen and cheating is going on...then they put you up against higher rated players...like a 20 level would be placed up against a 125..I mean seriously? It’s like they are setting you up to lose all the time so you will spend more..after I leave this review I am deleting this rigged and cheat of a game

3 Stars ✨ would give you 5 but I can only be honest the more I play the more I learn I've been playing for a long time seems like the payoffs get smaller and smaller invested in the game no doubt and I do like the game I would play it a lot more often if it paid off more then it does especially on the mini games spend 150,200,75, what is up with that give me a break every once in a blue moon you give me a bone ! Could it be I'm this unlucky maybe ? When I first started out thanks were different ? Of course I will continue playing the game because I am hooked on it but I do think you need to look into some of the bugs in the game specially when it comes to the mini games i don't get much return for the effort that I put in it. Like I think I should but let's face it I've been playing it for years and it's not like I'm going to quit playing so give me a freaking break ! Let's play eight ball 🎱!!!!!! And by the way I do like the new changes but what's the time deal on him when you got a wait eight hours or three hours sure you're not going to answer me so I guess that's it you get three stars ✨
  • Addictive

    By Fastdraw78
Great game! I have loved it and made it to the 90's in player level. Despite my love for this game I have recently dropped it from 5 to 4 stars and here is why. 1) it has become impossible for me to win consistently. I understand a players skill can fluctuate especially as you move up in rank. I just don't understand how I can go from having almost 2 million in coins and winning 100,000 coin games to being unable to consistently win 500 coin games. I don't trust computer programming because as you can see with the spinning wheel, it can easily be rigged. I don't trust organizations that make money from games like 8ball pool because what's to stop them from rigging the outcome of a players consistency. 2) like others I see connectivity issues. HOWEVER, I know they come from my wifi network. When I switch to cellular internet I do no have issues. Therefore I know where the problem is. The issue I have with the programming is that if I have a network loss the game will let me continue to the point where I even make a shot. Then all of a sudden my game goes back in time erases my shot and shows my opponent that I have timed out. Very strange
  • Dont play this game!!! Its incredibly rigged!

    By Minecart11 YouTube
In every game you play, the app decides if you win or not. If you play an all in game, they will put you up against level 150s when you are level 13 so they make sure that you lose all of your chips so you have to buy more or wait an hour for 30 chips. The daily spin and wins are rigged as well. You always land on either 150 or 250 no matter what since it always starts on the same number. Even if you play against your friends in real time, the balls will defy all laws of physics. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS GAME!!! THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO DO. Do not buy the special cues! It costs the price you bought to “recharge the cue” to be able to put cue spin on the cue ball. There is also the most obvious evidence that it is rigged: Your balls bounce out of the pockets while the opponent’s won’t. Just install an app like GamePigeon or Pool Break Lite to play pool with your friends or online. You might think it isn’t rigged at first because thats how they bring in new players. Once you start playing more often, they will start making you lose for reasons like “potting the 8 ball” when none of the balls hit it. I have RECORDED evidence of this. If you post about it on their support fourms they will ignore you or even go as far as deleting it. Anyway that was my rant on this terrible game.
  • Almost complete

    By Big D 4967
The game is very good and fun to play. What it needs to make it complete, in my opinion, is that it needs to have the ability to enter your own comments during play. You can’t have all the things I would like to say so being able to add my own would be great. But the game is really enjoyable to play and it’s fun to play people from around the world and that checking the players profile we see what country they are from and what their win rate is and what rings they’ve won. Which I really like winning rings it’s just a shame that we really can’t wear them, that would be awesome! If you like playing a game for free this is your game. You can spend money to get better cues and to get more coins but you can get more cues by winning games and getting gift boxes that you open in time or spend your dollar bills that you’ve acquired. But you can play without spending any real cash. Well I haven’t had to spend any yet and I’ve won 4 rings and working on number 5. All this is great fun and you can also play your friends and send friends gifts.
  • This WAS a good game...

    By Kid Kozmo
I've been playing this game for a couple of years now and have really, really, liked it. Until this week. Some ppl just can't leave well enough alone. The commercial content and coin collecting aspect of it had been tolerable until the latest changes. If you want to play slot machines, and trash talk with friends, then maybe you will get some enjoyment out of it. But for the pool purist, or someone interested in actually playing an accurate computer sim of the game, keep looking. This game is now catered to the kids... A pool stick that you have to continually pay credits to recharge? Ridiculous. So sad to see the end of my favorite ipad game... Hey guys at Miniclip, how about reinvesting in making the game actually better? Instead you're just constantly inventing different ways to get another few dollars out of everyone. Also, it's a little fishy how out of my thousands of daily spins, I seem to land on $100 about 80% of the time... and, I don't EVER recall winning anything other than a thousand bucks or so on a "Scratcher." I wouldn't play these at all if I weren't forced to, so if you're going to force ppl to play, you could at least make it fair. Oh, and enough with the bazillion different pool sticks! Geeeez!
  • Handicaps You to BUY!!

    By Doc4772
Terrible, suppose to be a game where a person can have fun and compete. It’s nothing but a way to earn money without charging to get the app. Example, when I first got on here, winning was easy. My shots lined up and I had no problem beating people as long as I took my time and lined the angles properly. Now that I got a taste of victory and 4 rings all the sudden the same angles don’t work. I scratch more times here than at real pool and my opponent is hard shooting, breaking a cluster and his ball is finding a pocket without a scratch, not the case for me at all, maybe in the beginning. Now down to no coins and having to wait to play the 50 coin table I am tempted to by special offers etc. I will not!! This is a really sad way to make money when they have a ton of advertising going on. Really sad that you get handicapped to lure you to spend for a stupid free game!!! I’m done with it!! Update!!! Played the worst hit the balls as hard as he could on every turn and never scratched, and was able to pocket a rack. I play with precision and take my time, hit very lightly most of the time and I scratched 4 times not counting the break so 5. Piece of crap game that only makes me mad that I get beat by an idiot because this game is a fraud. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
  • Great game but kinda upset about losing my coins!

    By CalSni87
I’ve been playing for a few weeks now and I’ve really enjoyed this game! The only complaint I have is losing my coins after winning a game and not receiving my bet coins or my winning coins back after the game has been won. This has happened quite a few times to me and is getting really frustrating. I’d really like for the developer to hook me up with my coins or something if possible, but we all know that most developers don’t read these comments so I doubt I’ll see them. If it continues to happen I’m going to have to move to a different game because building up coins and then losing them so easily is not cool at all. I’m going to hang in there for a few and see what happens. Hopefully I get all of my winnings from now on and maybe one day my coins will magically re-appear. Overall I love the game and I’m definitely addicted to it. It’s great for a free game and even better if you have the spare money to buy coins, upgrades, cues, and everything else.
  • Used to be a fun game

    By Nneyaa
I used to be addicted to this game. Spending real money on coins for cool cues and everything. First. There's no personalization just playing endless games which cost tons of coins! Just to loose ALL THE TIME. The luck to skill ratio is WAYYY OFF. Why have levels if they aren't going to reflect the actual talent of the person playing. You have pool sharks who are "level 2" making you think you have a fighting chance. then you loose the entire game. Or you have beginners who are level "100" come & miss every shot & you win. I don't understand. Go back to the old game. It made more sense & was fun to play. Third why must EVERY game cost coins just to play? Sometimes you end up paying just to loose. Sounds just like a stupid casino scheme to me. Also like I mentioned if the level is "supposed" to reflect you're "talent" why am I level 30 being paired with level 2 or level 60 players? Half the time level 60 players have better cues & when just based on the fact they have a greater aim! Not because they can actually play pool.
  • "Lost Connection"

    By gadam.7272
Fun game. However the "lost connection" is getting to be very annoying. You make a shot lose connection and when game "reconnects" your faced with clock time running out your shot not made causing you to lose the turn. On several occasions costing me the game. For a while I believed ok yeah I lost connection but doesn't happen all the time just in certain situations. So I started thinking maybe it's the other player somehow causing the lost connection cause it doesn't happen to them. Not sure what is actually going on. Would have given 5 stars if this "lost connection" wasn't so upsetting. Update: Enjoying more now with the new update. Finally you can challenge in 9 ball. And you get to change the wager. Glad they listen to their customers and improve where needed. Update: Since the new update like that are offering new pool sticks. But there seems to be a glitch since then. When I am first to break there's a pause or while in the middle of a shot.
  • Ok

    By Shovster
I play a lot of "real" pool and I'm considered to be a good player so I speak from experience when I say although I find the game to be fun, it is in some ways not very realistic. My biggest issue is the constant scratching when there's no way it should happen, (I'm a 61% shooter but subtract all the games I've lost do to unnecessary scratches I'd be in the 70s) part of the issue is that the balls can travel way farther then on a real table, it's hard to bank 5 rails on real table but could probably go 10 rails with the game!. Another big issue is the angles a ball can be cut, there's no way to cut over 90 degrees but with the game u can make impossible cuts making playing defense much harder! Also think when the cue ball is on the rail or up against another ball you shouldn't be able to use low English like in a real game. Another thing that drives me nuts is I'm usually trying to play for 10 mil but way to often it makes me play a game for as low as a $100, when there's 4000 played surly there's a player that could play for more!,...That being said I still like to play but the game needs tweaked a little
  • Addicting And Frustrating

    By ICanWinBig.com
I spend too much time playing. It is frustrating because it seems that too many times that there are glitches that render you a loss. Like when you hit one ball, pot that ball, and it gives your turn to your opponent saying you need to hit a striped ball. Glitches like these and other seem to fade away for a bit as long as you are making purchases to play. Why is it addicting? If you really love playing pool it is as close to the real thing as possible. However balls never leave the table other than through the pockets. The algorithms used in the game almost are undeniably similar to ones used in slot machines. If you haven't made a purchase in a while almost every game you play will be against not only higher ranked players but also to players that have an extremely high win percentage compared to yours yet at times you do seem to be unstoppable and other times it seems the only ball that goes in the pocket is the cue ball. I play on because I'm addicted. Don't start playing unless you like addictions in your life. I keep saying to myself to delete this game forever. Maybe I will sometime but not today. 😎🤔☠️
  • Love/Hate this game

    By Purplestickyfunk
I’ve been playing this for about a year and a half. There’s plenty of tables of varying difficulty rules. The worst part is that any time you try to play a game, it starts you off at the highest table you can afford to play. One time, I tried to swipe down to the lower tables, but it didn’t register. I was stuck playing for a large chunk of what had taken me months to accumulate. I withered down to $0 in a matter of minutes. I actually debated on deleting the app for this. The only way to be any good at this game is to obtain and use a high stat cue. Most cues require you to spend chips in order to keep their stats. But, some special ones have a free stat recharge or high stat/low recharge. I obtained one through an in-app purchase of a cue/money/chips package for $20. With it, I’ve been able to get well into the millions and passed what I had before I lost all my in-game money. The game overall is a great free purchase. I have found my heart pounding in high stakes matches. Which seems silly, being fake money and all, but it’s enjoyable.
  • Be warned, this game is rigged

    By WillMcCullough
Fair warning, this game is rigged to drain you of coins. Thousands of players have attempted to report this phenomenon to the developer with no luck. The most common observation is that if you win or purchase coins, you will end up with a massive losing streak. Once you find yourself losing massively, the game will offer you more coins at a discounted rate. Many have observed that this game has bots posing as real players. They’ve proven this by looking up the profiles for the “player” only to find that they have a high win ratio and very low play time. There are tip offs for the bots. Most bots start matches with incredibly creepy positive encouragement. They will often repeat statements like “you can do it” (paraphrasing) several times in a row. If you send back chat messages, the responses never make sense. The most major tell is that real players who’ve been around and have played several hundred games cannot achieve higher than a 40-55% win ratio. Once you begin winning, the game will unfairly match you to much higher level players or bots. The goal of this developer is to keep you buying coins regularly.
  • Good App but has issues

    By Me9w
The app is fun and a nice little time waster but I’ve noticed that at random times, when I win a 100 coin bet table, I’m 500 coins short. Basically, the game takes 500 coins of mine even though I won a game. The most recent example was: I played 9 Ball and bet 100. I had 8,135 before the game started. betting 100 left me with 8,035. I played through the game and won. When I got out of the game, my coin status was 7,535 (with my winnings). The game took 500 coins of mine. It’s also happened before. It’s happened a total of 10 times and the game doesn’t appear to have a customer support so I’m writing it here. The game also has some issues when it comes to loading. There have been at least 2 times when I entered a game, the app froze up. First time I waited for 10 minutes til I restarted the app. Second time I waited 5 minutes. Both times, when I returned, it reported that I won the game (as I had an extra amount of what I bet). So the game is fun, but it has issues.

Love the game but just letting you developers know to please issue a update to patch this bug or glitch that I and others have been experiencing so lately I have been trying to play your fun game but within 5-10 seconds of being in the app it has been booting me out but the app doesn't disappear or crash it's still active in the background and I try to get back in it again and it does the same thing over and over again and I can't play at all or even be in the app for more then seconds without this issue reoccurring my friend also has an I phone 6+ mine is a 7+ and he is experiencing the same issues I wanted to make sure that it wasn't my phone malfunctioning or overheating but this is the only app he or I have been having issues with please help thank you keep up the good work 👍👍👍 p.s. I have tried restarting my iPhone and even deleting then re downloading the app but no changes so far
