How to download, install and play The Sims™ FreePlay on your PC and Mac

If you want to install and play the The Sims™ FreePlay game on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use The Sims™ FreePlay for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: The Sims™ FreePlay game for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type The Sims™ FreePlay in the search bar and press Search. Click on The Sims™ FreePlay game icon. A window of The Sims™ FreePlay on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your Game will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed Games.
You should see the The Sims™ FreePlay icon. Click on it and start playing the Game

Step 4: The Sims™ FreePlay for Mac OS

Hi. Mac Gamer!
The steps to use The Sims™ FreePlay for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get bluestacks here .

For the last few days the app hasn't been opening. I've reinstalled it a fee times and it would only remain open for about 10mins.
  • Pay to play

Unless you spend money a lot of the quests are impossible to complete which unlocks content. I understand the macros for extra content and skipping wait times, but there are quests that you’ll go through for a week just to find out you need to spend money to be able to complete them in time. Disappointing, deleting this app.
  • Love it but it’s missing something

    By Hggftbfgyjtuikkujfthfhtfdtfh
I love love love this game and have been playing it since I was young. But I feel like it’s missing a few things. For one thing, there needs to be a daycare or something for little kids when the parents and teens go to work and school. Also there should be no limit on how many kids a family can have! Families should be able to be as big as the player wants. And there should be more activities that toddlers and babies especially can do! Have a mommy and me class or let them go in the pool in floaties or make a playground for them! The babies should be able to be draped over the parents shoulder when picked up. Toddlers should be able to be bald too like the babies. And lastly, Free lifestyle points on Fridays :). Other then these I love the game.
  • I really love this game but everything takes a very VERY long time

    By bibi097
This game is super fun and I have been playing for 7 years but I gave up on it because some actions take a very long time. In the quests there are some actions that take like, 13 hrs. I also think that second floors should cost less because I would really like to have one. Lastly, I think you should have long hair choices from the start because the ones that you get from the start are super short or are in a bun.

I am so tired of it. Bring more black women hair styles to the game! I’m not black myself, but I’m tired of seeing all my black women in the game with the same 3 hair Styles because there’s only like 3 black women and black men hair styles. I’ve been playing for years, and I’ve watched this game grow. But I’ve never seen more black people hair styles come! I’m not saying the game is racist But it needs to bring more ideas of culture. Get some more Afro styles, get some more braids, get locks, get beads for the toddlers and the preteens, get puffs and buns and all that!
  • Suggestion....

I love this games, I’m always on it 24/7 but it would be great if the live events. Like the wedding bells and the pj event. It would be great if you could soon.
  • Long time player, Review OVERALL. What has become.

    By davidjrizo
I’m writing this review as a experience customer and veteran gamer of Sims FreePlay. Through out the years this game has done a humongous transformation like nothing other. And I’m declaring that as a positive note. With tremendous disappointment this game has became one of the worsted money hungry power apps to date. I’m ashamed of firemonkeys that once was very passionate about making a game and pleasing their audience, their customers! EA has merged firemonkeys to increase its prices off of online bundles and implement more new updates with purchase than earning free new items through new quest per updates. It’s very ridiculous how much money hungry firemonkeys has gotten. Because of your players who have up and promoted your success ea sees you as high value. As I don’t not necessarily blame the beyond excessive online bundles as a money scheme brought by EA. It has become very ridiculous to continue a game play. What made The Sims FreePlay a success was that it lived up to the name. Sadden that the free content only mean cheaper quality content. Now that FreePlay has sky rocketed their content has became more difficult to obtain, with very expensive add ons. As this isn’t necessarily its disappointing As a long time player to be treated as a money source when once looked at a valuable consumer and player. I’m deeply sadden and recommend that even though the game is free to play it is not worth investing your time. EA makes firemonkeys but less free content and more purchasable online bundles so you could waste your real hard money on overly expensive items. I no longer recommend this fame whatsoever.

I think you should do a preteen sleepover quest, and i also think we should be able to to see inside of more professions besides the hospital, police station, and movie studio, we should be able to see our sims working at all of their jobs it would be so cool
  • Addicting but a few suggestions

    By subolk
I enjoy playing this game, and have been playing for several years. I have always been content with the game but now that I have reached the maximum level and unlocked all the buildings I feel there needs to be more added. It would be nice to have more buildings and activities for the sims to do like a movie theater or zoo to visit. There are two high schools for teenage sims to attend but no middle schools, colleges etc. I think that it would be an awesome quest to unlock a college. Something that I think would be an amazing idea is adding something like a cemetery where sims that have passed away can be added so living sims can visit. My other two suggestions are things that I have thought about a lot since first playing the game. One, the max level of sims is very low and only goes up when you reach a next level in the game or level up in VIP. I feel like it should be higher because there are so many hobbies and homes that aren’t being used. The second is house building. Building a home is very basic in the game, I wish that there was more complex building that could be done like other sim games. Like adding a closet to a room that doesn’t have to be a completely separate room. Things along that line. Another awesome feature that should be added is being able to customize the colors of furniture, wallpapers, floors etc. to reach a certain aesthetic in the home. Besides these few suggestions this game is highly addicting, and one of my favorite mobile games.
  • Best gave ever

I really love this game everything is perfect but I still thinks there’s some stuff that needs to be added to it to make it even better. Like our sims should be able to go to college and we should have more job options like a courtroom where you can be a lawyer or judge. It’ll also be nice to have a zoo to go to. Also being able to do more activities with the sims baby and the senior sims. There can be a senior home for the seniors to move to. It’ll also be cool if our preteens and toddlers had more activities to interact. And it’ll also be nice if the preteens can start working and the teens also. It’ll also be nice to have a babysitter job etc. also more cooking and it’ll be so cool if the sims can eat stuff they bake?
