How to download, install and play #SelfCare on your PC and Mac

If you want to install and play the #SelfCare game on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use #SelfCare for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: #SelfCare game for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type #SelfCare in the search bar and press Search. Click on #SelfCare game icon. A window of #SelfCare on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your Game will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed Games.
You should see the #SelfCare icon. Click on it and start playing the Game

Step 4: #SelfCare for Mac OS

Hi. Mac Gamer!
The steps to use #SelfCare for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get bluestacks here .

Not to belittle anyone’s success with this app or how helpful it is to others, but I’ll just be honest and say this app actually stressed me out. I don’t really know why

I suffer depression, anxiety and suicidal idealization and this app has been very nice. It’s calming and helps me focus on something else for a bit.
  • This app saved me

I clicked on this app as a whim and it saved me. I, like many, have panic attacks and major depression. I opened this up and immediately felt a sense of calm. Everything from the music, the tones, customization made it feel real. It’s also nice to see touches of my faith sprinkled in. My favourite thing about the app is no notifications. I constantly get notifications from everything else and it just racks up my anxiety that much more. I was slipping into another downward spiral when I opened the app. It blew my mind. I’ve not been this calm and relaxed in a very long time. I’m recommending this to everyone I know. Thank you for creating this app truly. I’m normally too shy to write reviews but this needed to be said.
  • best app ever.

I downloaded this app out of curiosity because i was going through some issues and had very bad anxiety. This app helped more than anything. From the peaceful background sounds to the breathing flower and interactions it all just calmed me down so much. I would also like to make a proposal to add interacting blinds, when you can open them and choose which scenery you view (pond, stars, clouds, rainfall, etc.) , also like a goldfish where you can feed it and clean the bowl etc. I think we would all just like a little more interactions.

It was so great at first until I received a message saying “The future is femme” which femme in french is female/woman. It is sexist and I am a male and I don’t want that in my stress free world. It just ruined everything. when i came here to type this i also saw the pictures including the bubbles and high priestess (which if there isn’t a high priest that’s also sexist there should be both) and the moon phases and i can’t find any of those in the app and i guess it’s not really a bad thing like am i missing a big neon sign or something but it doesn’t really matter if anything else is sexist im deleting this anyways but if you people decide to tone it down a bit i would like to know how to access those parts. btw idk how to add things to the altar like all i can put on there is the “holy wood” thing

I have social anxiety, and when I’m uncomfortable or overwhelmed in public, I sadly turn to my phone. Which ends up making me more anxious because social media and comparison to others etc. This app is great for those moments. Not something you’d sit and play for hours at a time. But a few minutes after waking up, before going to bed, and small occasions throughout the day really helps me. The meditation and wordplay are my favorite. It’s nice to collect different crystals and herbs too. ** For everyone upset that it “mentions being a witch”... Witchcraft is just opening yourself up to the universe to accept your desires. It’s about telling the Universe what you need and trusting it to take care of you. Tarot Cards are a way to gain different perspectives on life. Nothing is scary or forcing people to worship the Devil. Calm down.

I totally love this. It's oddly calming to me. I love the music and the sounds aren't annoying. It doesn't bother you with notifications. The cat seems a little creepy to me, but that's just me being weird. 😂 Anyway, 11/10 would recommend. It's amazing and I adore it. EDIT: Also, to people saying it's boring: it's NOT supposed to be a game. That's the point.
  • Beautiful game, great for deescalating negative emotions.

I’m a long time sufferer of all sorts of mental illness, namely depression and anxiety. This app is great for dissolving intrusive thoughts and panicky urges, even if just for a short distraction. It really makes a big difference.

I don’t think I have ever left a review for any app - ever. But this was a MUST. I’m so glad I found this app. I was actually looking for games to play when I had free time during the day and I came across this. I love it. Battling with anxiety and depression - along with postpartum depression as a new mom - I found this yesterday and I already love it. ❤️ I have NOTHING bad to say but if you’re looking for “improvements” I did find a smallllll typo - just one missing letter. Just thought I’d let you know. 😊

I use this app everytime before I go to sleep, and use it to take deep breaths and relax. Beautiful design, concept and graphics. Buy this app now! It actually encouraged me to do laundry, and I actually had a lot of fun with it...? My favorite feature is the altar, where we put our meaningful things. It actually inspred me to get my own!

I absolutely loved this app & how fitted to me I could make it. Especially when you could put positive affirmations as your spelling blocks, really needed that!
