Game Reviews

  • It needs some work but has potential

I think this game has potential. The gameplay is simple but addicting. The physics are solid for a free mobile game and I think this could be really fun. But it gets a two star rating for some reasons. One being the guns are expensive. While the game can be fun with the starting one trying to get another gun costs thousands of credits. I think having a mystery box system where you could get guns would be a better idea than just directly buying them. (This is kind of done with the daily gift system.) I’ve seen reviews saying there many pop up adds but I did not get any while playing so not much opinion on that. The big issue is that this game micro transaction heavy. I would say EA is worse but at least they put time and effort into there games so they look nice. Overall the game has lots of potential to be fun simple . But the fact that it is plagued by micro transactions makes it very boring. The gun given in the beginning is fine but one of the fun parts of these games is getting new items. It is supposedly add heavy but I had none while playing (again no opinion on that.) I think if the gun prices are lowered and there are less adds (or the no adds option is lowered in price) then this could be a pretty solid mobile game.
  • Worst Microtransaction Greed I Have Ever Seen

The game is a standard Phone game that can entertain for a while, but half of the guns that you can earn offer no gameplay advantage, and are simply reskins of other guns. The app is riddled with obnoxious ads that play even after you decline an ad to continue, one plays. This game also offers a premium membership service which is absurd for an app like this. With said membership you remove ads (which you can pay for separately) in game currency, and two guns. Both guns offer no major gameplay change, and one you can unlock for free by watching 25 ads. The membership has a free trial which lasts three days, and then you are charged for a weekly subscription which is over $7 per week. A subscription to a streaming service like Netflix is cheaper than this disgusting mess of microtransactions. There is also a terrible pricing system for guns that you can buy with only real money. There is a gun for an absurd $5, but for the low low price of just $99 you can get the same gun but it looks gold. When I first saw this I was so disappointed that I almost uninstalled the app right then and there. I hope they remove these terrible business practices from this game.

Like every Playgendary game, Flip The Gun designed to make you spend money. There is a subscription in the game which shouldn’t even exist in the first place. Also get this: it’s $20 a month, which is more than a Netflix Premium subscription, which is completely ridiculous for what you’re rewarded. The subscription only rewards you with 3 2D models of guns. So which one is it, Netflix or a phone game? Don’t buy remove ads, it still has ads for it’s own games, not like they get ad revenue, but they’re still there for whatever reason. There is also acts of laziness, some guns such as the AWP and the dubstep gun are the same thing (With different visual and sound effects, but it does the same thing), there’s no settings, not even the basic settings, all you can do is play and stare at all the guns you have to pay money for. The game is also easy and boring, give a iPad to a fetus and it will get a score of 1000 on its first try. Basically, this is a big cash grab and they really didn’t deserve all this support, I’m surprised this got on the top charts. Don’t even bother playing this game, they make thousands of USD every day from ad revenue from this stupid game.

I actually quite enjoyed this game for a little while. It had some nice visuals and a good concept. But then I realized something. This game exists solely for the purpose of making money. First of all, the game is riddled with ads. Did you lose? Here's an ad! Did you click a button? Here's another ad! Did you see an ad? Here's an ad! And if that wasn't bad enough, the micro transactions are ABSURD. First of all, there is a gun in the game that is pretty much the 2nd gun you get in the game. Why I mentioned this is because of the 99 dollar version of the same exact gun that is only a reskin. As an indie game developer, I wonder why I even bother when microtransaction-riddled, ad spamming garbage like this can make piles and piles of money. And I didn't even mention the "premium version" of the game. Basically it's a 28$ a month membership that removes ads, gives you some ingame currency, and gives you one completely useless gun. Imagine walking into an arcade and seeing a game that you can pay 28$ a month to get an item in the game. Remove the micro transactions and this is a 5 star time-waster game. But at its current state, I refuse to give this anything above a 1 star.
  • Fun physics ruined by GREED.

First time in my life I’ve seen an ad within an ad. Not to mention full screen ads that can pop up at the start of a run, causing you to instantly fall and lose. At least make the game pause when an ad is displayed. Furthermore, the ‘free’ weapons (aside from the pistol you start with) aren’t completely free. You have to watch 25 ads, spam your friends with referrals, and/or follow social media profiles of the devs. It’s invasive, for one, and a lazy way to get the end-user to do free advertising for the developer. It’s disgusting. There are no options whatsoever. No sound dial or on/off, no quality options, no nothing. You can’t complete all the achievements unless you pay OVER $100!!! Yep, that’s right. Achievements include unlocking all weapons, even the premium ones. Not to mention that some of the premium content can ONLY be purchased with real money. These guys are as greedy as the rest of ‘em. Don’t waste your time, or money. This developer, in my opinion, doesn’t give a crap about the player, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR WALLETS!! Uninstalled, and I wish I could give 0 stars.

You have a simple, easy to learn/hard to master game with decent mechanics. That’s a good start, you already have a leg up on a lot of your competitors. The people know TINSTAAFL. We expect an ad here and there. Developers like Ketchapp understand the balance that needs to be struck. They play plenty of ads but they don’t stuff them down our throats. Less is more. I’ve actually downloaded several of the games they have advertised because they found that balance. I picture you guys like a lame, small-scale, wannabe Wolf of Wall Streeters except you don’t have a Jordan Belfort. You’re his stupid friends. How else do you explain such poor choices? You’re disrespecting your core demographic and insulting their intelligence. You’re the bank robber who gets caught because he insists on taking the rolls of nickels. You think you’re going to get rich off of one or two half assed games but your not. Act like you care about your business and do better. Otherwise, I’ll see ya when you tank this company and come back with a new name.
  • Not saying it’s a bad game, but...

Do you honestly think that premium is worth $7 A MONTH?!? That the golden AK is worth nearly $20?!? The golden rule I always follow with any in game purchases is that if I think something will provide me with ATLEAST one hour of content, that I MAY consider buying it. This however, is literally an animated 2D gun... There’s no way you could ever convince me that a single 2D gun is worth $20, especially when you could buy so many better things with that. Heck, you could buy an actual game that would give you LOADS of content. But instead the devs are delusional enough to think that a picture of a gun is worth more than several cups of coffee, a full video game, dinner at a cheap restaurant, etc, the list goes on. As for the gameplay, it’s alright I guess. It’s very similar to your generic mobile game. (Start, try to get as far as you can while collecting coins to buy expensive items, repeat). Just seems kind of boring to me... No end goal or anything?
  • Good game, but a terrible flaw...

I’ve put a solid 10 hours into this game so far. I’ve unlocked 7 guns (not including the revolver), and have completed all the challenges for them. The game is pretty fun. However, there are two massive problems to the game. The first one is the countless advertisements I suddenly began to see after the latest update. I did an experiment where I played for 30 minutes to see how many advertisements I would watch. I watched 34 adds, not including the adds I watched to get extra coins after each death (Which tallied up to 6). That’s an abysmal figure, and I actually spent about as much time watching adds as I did playing the game. The second problem: micro transactions. More than half of the guns in this game require microtransactions to unlock, and boast no real in game advantage (besides the $20 AK-47, which I generally see used by players to top the leaderboards). There’s also the premium subscription, which disables adds (you can purchase that separately), gives you 2000 coins a day (I can do that in under 5 minutes for free), and unlocks two guns (which function like reskins of guns you can buy with credits). And how much does this cost? After a 3-day free trial, the premium service costs over $28 a month. I can purchase any reputable streaming service, even cable, for significantly less. If it weren’t for these shoddy business practices, I would rate the game 5 stars because of how fun it is.
  • Ads are atrocious. Physics are Bad.

The amount of ads in this game are atrocious. Every time I open the game, I immediately get an ad. After playing once, I get an ad. After getting a new high-score, I get an ad, etc. it’s a good game, but I have to pay $4 just to get rid of the ads? Bro, this game is not worth that much and the developers know it! I would maybe pay $2, but I am not about to drop $4 on a phone game just to get rid of ads. I can go to steam and get a game that has had 9000 more hours of development for $5. This is ridiculous. In fact, I’m going to make a random generating game just like this, but replace it with different types of farting cats. Catch you fags in 2 weeks. The physics are ruined by the constant crap with the gun staying upside down on automatic weapons. Accidentally fire an extra round? The gun stops spinning and is stuck shooting up, ending your round. Literally broken spawns for ammo at the 250 mark. I have to go 60 meters before I even see an ammo pickup.
  • Money Grab

    1
    By bruhyourelame
Wow. I have never seen such a desperate attempt to get people’s money. 7.99 a week to play with 2 guns? That’s absolutely ridiculous. You have 80% of your weapons locked behind a pay wall. Which i have no idea why, they All work the same way. There’s no distinction from them besides a different skin. They fire the same, and make the same noise. It’s so lazy. But than to charge people 20$ for the variant of the same weapon? That’s so awful. This app was made for younger children who know their parents credit/debit information, giving them a chance to slip up and pay their weekly 7.99$ service. Oh and heads up if you want high scores and the most coin every run. Just use the AK, it’s big enough to take up most of the screen and the easiest to control. However if even the barrel touches the bottom of the screen it’s game over. Good luck.
  • This game has a lot of potential!

For the love of god please make a campaign or story mode that progressively gets harder! Make a multiplayer mode to compete with friends directly in a 1v1 battle to see who gets the highest! And make an endless mode! Also please add a background the black screen is quite boring. We also need more weapons obviously! I also see a lot of complaints that say it’s too easy.. Which is true, but the story mode can make the game more challenging which would fix all of the issues there. So far I enjoy the app and it’s a great start and I am looking forward to seeing what the developers have in store for the future of this app.
  • ADS GALORE

    By 4299954!4
This game would be super fun if it didn’t have ads at every corner of the game and was fair to the average player, unfortunately though, that is not the case. The game itself is pretty fun, however, during every game there is an ad up at the top of the screen. Not so bad until you count the ads that pop up before and after starting games multiple times. On top of that, this is as pay2win as a game can get. Many guns in this game offer you to buy them with the in-game currency called coins (which too hard to get for this to be fair) orrrr you can buy it, also if you would like to acquire some of the cooler weapons this game offers a “diamond membership” charging 8 freaking dollars a WEEK just to get more coins. In premise this game would be cool, but if you are a normal human being, this game isn’t for you.
  • This company only makes games for revenue

    2
    By SomethingCleverYT
This is a serious money grab, and legit all games by this company are, however as far as the game goes it can entertain you for about half an hour or so before it gets boring and repetitive. There’s ads around every corner, for example if you decline an ad offer to get more coins, you still get an ad, even if you accept, once the ad is done, you get a second ad. The ads have a fast forward button, but if you accept the coins for ad offer, they don’t, and they will be thirty second long ads. The best gun you can get without spending money, not including the ad guns, in my opinion would be the AK-47, but don’t use the automatic feature, instead use it like a glock and enjoy the 30 bullets.
  • Great but, Those ADS tho

    4
    By MJBats
It’s funny cause I actually ALMOST gave this a five star rating! But after I played it for a bit longer I started to notice a little problem. My game was dropping frames WAY TOO MUCH but the weird thing was that the ADS played perfectly fine. It’s like I was playing “Escape the ADS” instead of the actual game. It’s like the game was putting more effort into shoving these ADS in your face as opposed to making the game run smoothly, and to be honest that’s a little disappointing. Try perhaps earning your money from less pricey weapons. Maybe in the long run you’ll end up receiving more sales from people.
  • A Nice Review

Flip The Gun is a legendary masterpiece. It feature a variety of characters, ranging from Goku to Pikachu. I love how you start with such a simple character like Ants, and work your way towards achieving the super Sayan Ants. Although the multiplayer is a bit jagged, I love the option to work with the others thanks to the co-op mode. The story is also super dramatic. It contains drama and comedy and enough action to keep you invested. I won't spoil the end, but let's just say when the ant makes a baby, you'll start solving professor Layton puzzles. To conclude, I think I'm due. Sincerely, July Three would be good.
  • Very Excellent, but make it rated higher than 4.

    By KinggodHD
Hello, this game is very excellent and all addictive and there is different varieties of guns! It is similar to doodle jump, but more fun! People won’t stop playing this game! But, the problem is it’s Age Rating. I would not recommend 4+ for this. Make it either 9+ or 12+ because very young users will learn guns, and they are not even old enough for it! If they know about this, they would probably start a shooting when they will grow up! Please make the age rating higher! PLEASE.
  • This is actually evil

The base game is great in all but the premium subscription is actually the worst thing I’ve ever seen. You have to pay $8 a WEEK for 2 extra guns and some extra in game currency and also no adds. That’s cool in all but $8 A WEEK is literally the most expensive thing I’ve ever seen in a mobile game. It’s that much money just for this stupid game where u flip a gun. Netflix is cheaper then this garbage! You can also spend $20 for a gold re-skin of a gun that u probably already have. I just can’t even believe that something like this exists and it’s just saddening. Someone out there is probably spending this much money on a bunch of useless crap and it worries me. Yeah don’t get this game because of all of this overpriced greedy garbage.
  • The game lies off of ads and transactions.

    1
    By big thick man
Literally everything in the game thats available normally, you can get extra of with ads because they really need money that bad. I have to play this game with airplane mode, because ads all around the screen make me lag which is truly sad. Not even to mention if you want to be all cool with a different colored gun with a different name than another that literally works like the “cooler gun” you have to rely on ads to get money or buy it. There is also an AK-47 that is $99 that *drumroll* is gold. The sad thing is people actually buy that because the kind of gold-looking gun is “better” for some reason. This game really wants a profit out of each sad person who happens to play this.
  • It’s pay to win

Okay I have a lot of problems with this game first the micro transactions a crazy and please take away some or all and how you have to watch ads if you want a gun but don’t want to pay for it also the Golden AK 20 dollars wow that’s a lot for an item in a game also there is no actually semi automatic gun in the game even the glock isn’t semi also vip membership is stupid and the grenade launcher shouldn’t eject a shell every time it fires in real life it’s more like a revolver and when you reload you take the shells out and finally all of the creators games are the same pay to win crap don’t get this game unless you want to waste 20 dollars on a reskin of a different gun
  • Cashgrab

    1
    By AverageGamer2015
The mechanics are nice, the guns are actually really cool, but this is essentially a cashgrab. First off, there’s actually a membership. For a GAME! That’s ridiculous. It gives you some in-game currency and a couple guns. For like 7$ a month. That’s ridiculous. And almost every gun needs you to watch adds or pay like 5$ minimum to unlock. Sorry, no. That’s totally ridiculous. In the time I’ve spent playing the game, I’ve also noticed that it’s really hard to get coins to buy these guns (some are 15,000 or some real cash) with the first gun you’re given. Please stop with the money hunger and give us the basic mechanics of the game. You’d make it much further if your were so greedy. How the heck did this game get 4+ stars?
  • Amazing. Hands down best game of 2020

Never before have I seen a game with such a great story, graphics, and character development. Truly, this game is a new experience that everyone should be able to enjoy. My especially favorite part is shooting the gun bc I’m from Alabama and I love guns. I value guns over the protection of our children. Anyways, ENOUGH ABT ME. BACK TO THE GAME!!! :D Truly, a masterpiece. Makes me hot every time I play it. The sound of the rifle firing just causes me to come better than my nonexistent gf ever could.

This game is rather interesting. It has fun physics, but it’s not quite enough to keep you engaged for long. It may be fun for quick bursts here and there, though that’s down to the individual. The game also has an excessive amount of advertisement. Seems every few runs you get another ad, or it shows up in the middle of a run and doesn’t pause, so you end up having to restart. Any other guns cost a lot of grinding to obtain, while some are exclusive to a ‘diamond membership’. I don’t think this game offers enough to do what it does, so I give it two stars, because the physics can be in for awhile.
  • Fun but OVER RUN with adds

    2
    By Nebwushdb18823728hdwhsisbvs
I downloaded this game expecting a simple, fun, addicting time waster. Unfortunately instead of wasting my time with gameplay, this game decided to waste my time with adds. After almost every single run I do I get an add, and if that’s not bad enough, you can even get adds while cycling between menus, like really?? The point of games like this is to get people addicted and allow them to get rewards progressively to keep them entertained. This game’s add system destroys that purpose. It’s fun, and could indeed be very addictive if I wasn’t interrupted after every round by an add that I can’t skip for 10-15 seconds.
  • Skip this game

    1
    By Zentaki Caelum
I downloaded this game only a few minutes and have already uninstalled it. Before even being introduced to the game, the very first screen attempts to trick you into purchasing a “VIP membership”. After clearing a few advertisements, I was able to load the game. A few seconds into my firs time playing, an advertisement pops up mid game and doesn’t pause, making you lose and start over. Not to mention one of the gun costs $100 and multiple others cost money and/or some sort of facbook/instagram/etc involvement. Skip this game and save your time. Looks like I could be a fun time killer had the developers not gone overboard on greed.
