How to download, install and play Fortnite on your PC and Mac

If you want to install and play the Fortnite game on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Fortnite for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Fortnite game for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Fortnite in the search bar and press Search. Click on Fortnite game icon. A window of Fortnite on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your Game will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed Games.
You should see the Fortnite icon. Click on it and start playing the Game

Step 4: Fortnite for Mac OS

Hi. Mac Gamer!
The steps to use Fortnite for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get bluestacks here .

Download Andriod, Iphone

Download APK
Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

  • Horrible controls

    By Tdog311
Fortnite Mobile’s controls are what make the game so bad. Not only is building completely useless due to how slow it is and the fact that it saves edits you make on previous structures for now reason whatsoever, but the button placement is so off for some things. For instance, the reload button is the tiniest button I have ever seen and is placed RIGHT ON TOP OF THE INVENTORY! So while you struggle to tap the tiny button, you will inevitably fire your weapon several times and give your position away. Another stupid mechanic in the game is auto-weapon pickup and automatic door opening. Why would anyone want to pick up every weapon lying around? Also, it’s impossible to sneak around a building because the game will open up every door you pass automatically and once again give your position away. Another thing is that walking around is nearly impossible because you get stuck on the tiniest corners and have to walk down stairs facing forward or you will struggle even more to move. The aiming is pitiful gunfights are pitiful. If you kill someone, it’s not because you were good, it’s because they were just worse or got unlucky since, once again, the controls hinder your play style. Keep in mind, I’ve run into all of these problems in the first 3 games I’ve played and the other Battle Royale games at least let you customize your panel so you can make buttons whatever size fits you and place things where they need to be. Epic, come on, you can do better than this.
  • Great game just want graphic settings and controller support

    By ɑատօʍҽ
So I love Fortnite it is my favorite game at the moment you did good with it on mobile but we need graphic settings for Devices such at the iPad Air 2 because the graphics are decent but I feel they could be a bit better because I have seen the iPad Pro and the iPhone X graphics for Fortnite and they look so amazing and I feel that everybody should get that same experience and feeling of dropping in a vast gorgeous island and I feel like that would get more people hooked on Fortnite and about controller support the controls are good considering it’s on mobile but when you end up going agents people on things like pc,ps4, and the xbox one it is very difficult because they have the upper hand of being able to build easier and it is easy for them to swap there weapons or other things very fast and build a huge fort and engage in building fights so please make it so that fights are determined by who can fight or build better because 9 times out of ten the person on xbox ps4 pc will beat the person on mobile because the odds are generally not in are favor but any ways great game not many things wrong with it just needs graphic settings and controller support. And also season for week 3 for a mission is watch a replay how do you watch a replay on mobile because it does not let me access the leaderboard so how am I so pose to do it I want block buster and the loading screen.
  • Amazing Game!

    By girlygirlappfan💕
I got this game two weekends ago and it has been a huge blast. I love the 5 teams of 20 mode. I had gotten 3 wins from playing in that mode. I really want you to keep it because I know tons of other players and big fans of Fortnite will love that. I also love the way you can organize your inventory so things can be within easy reach. I am super impressed with the art in this game. It is also fun playing solo, where you play by yourself. I tend to play this mode a lot too because there is no one racing against me to take my loot, unless there is another player already there. I also do not have to worry about teams that are winning! I really like how can heal your team. I have done this many times in 5 teams of 20. However, I have two small complaints that I would like to mention. The first one being that there are white specks on the screen that pop up. I have seen this in random times, so I can not tell you when they appear. I also do not know if I am seeing things or not. And it does not bug me too much. And the last one. The swings. Players that are new do not know that this can get you banned. Can you at least put a warning that this will happen to you if you go on the swings? Please? Thank you for all you have done in this game. I really love this game and will be keeping it for years to come. Edit: Season 5 is here! The new desert is awesome! I do not want to spoil everything so have fun playing!
  • Pretty good, but some suggestions

    By Catty Catty Cat
I’m an avid mobile player with close to a 100 wins. Fortnite on mobile is a lot of a fun, and good because I have a busy schedule. This being said, there are some things that myself and all mobile players want. First of all, a kill feed. This would be very helpful for obvious reasons, plus, I want to know how far my snipes are! Second of all, the white hand icons that show up on weapons, meds, chests, and ammo crates need to go. They add lots of clutter that making looting a lot slower. Maybe just keep the ones on chests and ammo crates. Lag is obviously an issue, but that’ll hopefully get better with time. Another thing we need is a more customizable layout. PC and console players can customize their key and controller bindings, so we shouldn’t we be able to? This includes the size and position of on screen buttons, and the transparency of them. This would be so helpful. Also, stairs are next to impossible to edit since the last update, and I’m not sure why. Fixing that would be great. Autorun is a good feature with the original method (double tap on joystick) and not good with the lock feature. It should stay as double tap. Render distance could be longer, but I understand that’s hard to do on mobile. Being able to change graphic settings would be good to minimize lag. If you’ve read to the bottom of this, thanks so much for your time. I know mobile isn’t a top priority but I really appreciate it.
  • I love fortnite console but...

I have been playing fortnite since the Halloween event and I have loved it! I have only played on console. I was super hyped for Fortnite mobile when I heard about it but when i actually ended up playing it I was extremely disappointed. First off the controls are trash have a fire button don’t just tap the screen to fire. I also hate the auto pickup which you need to go into settings to change, speaking of settings you can’t turn cross play off. Plus the auto opening a door is really annoying! The reload button is too small. Now other than the controls the laggy servers are horrible! And there isn’t even save the world on mobile either! And on top of all this it still has all the problems the normal platform game has like tilted towers being to crowded and how because of tilted the gameplay doesn’t feel action packed. The weapon delay recently added is just horrible I hate it and it’s even harder to use those weapons on mobile! I hope you take this into consideration! So I wrote this review a while ago and I’m glad you did some of these things and season 5 is just around the corner. The game could be approved upon like making the reload button bigger but at this point all I really do is check the item shop when I can’t get to my Xbox. So maybe something added to mobile to make it more desirable to actually play a match would probably do wonders! ALSO ADD PLAYGROUND BACK PLEASE!!!!

First off let me say everything good about it so far. I’m quite impressed that Epic Games was able to put such a huge game onto mobile. The fact that you could now play Fortnite on the go is wonderful. Now the bad parts. The controls are utter garbage. The joystick frequently disappears when being used, the tiny jump button on the side is not ideal, and, the worst part, is that the way to shoot or swing your pickaxe or really just use anything is to tap the screen is extremely frustrating. I have shot several times on accident because I was trying to build. Also, the game runs at what seems like 10 FPS. The whole invite event is okay, but I can’t see why you can’t just have an automatic email sent, just like pretty much any other account creating process. However, my experience may be different, as I have an iPhone SE, which is the smallest phone that Apple hasn’t retired. Still, gameplay remains laggy, glitchy, and almost unplayable. Despite what hopefully is a rough start to this port, I can see a ton of potential for this. Just add better controls(add a shoot button and add the ability to customize controls), slightly better FPS(I would recommend letting people change graphics in settings), and fix bugs. All this aside, it can still be a fun game, it just needs improvement! EDIT: Thanks for listening Epic! The game still isn’t as good as on consoles or PC, but it’s still worth it!
  • Needs Improvements Very Frustrating

    By SmartyPants🤓
Fortnite is a great game and I like playing it but it’s so annoying because of all of the updates. Like I know you wanna improve the game but the constant updates preventing me from playing the game are very annoying. The lagging needs to be fixed! It’s frustrating when I encounter someone and I can’t pick up a weapon and fire at the because I keep lagging back and forth and end up getting eliminated. The login time to actually get in the match is very slow and sometimes it takes so long that the battle bus has already taken off and is in its final seconds to jump out. The lagging before I shoot someone is annoying to because it freezes then I end up getting eliminated. Sometimes it’s so bad that it ends up locking my character in running mode and I can’t do anything about it. I try to press the home button it doesn’t work, I try the sleep button on my phone it doesn’t work. Everything else on my screen works though. The time changes the other characters move around me but I can’t control my player when it’s like that. I can’t even control my phone. Then all of a sudden the buttons I pressed to try and unfreeze it function all at once. Also STOP TAKING OUT GAME MODES! You guys come up with really great game modes like blitz, sniper shootout, and solid gold. But it’s really annoying and pointless when you keep them for like a week and then take them out. Please fix these things and the game would be more enjoyable.
  • Not ready

    By dogdrop101
The only four things that are bad is that it ends up crashing when I get into the game. It just started when you guys updated it. Sometimes when I just land on a building or even before that. The second to last thing is that the shooting button is on top of the joy stick. And I notice that you tried to make it easier by having it be able to tap on the screen to shoot but for me it barely works. I could be tapping on my screen trying to snipe or shoot another person. So please put the shooting button to the right or in the settings put controls and have people be able to drag things where they want and have a test run with an AI. The last thing ties in with the thing I said earlier but when reloading a gun with that small little circle it could make you shoot and give away your cover and when opening a chest. I would like a button that opens the chest. For example I try to open a chest and I try again and again then I destroy the chest. One more thing is the 50v50. It was the most fun I ever had on fortnite and yes I play on Xbox one. As I was saying it was fun. The whole team got together and built a huge for and one guy from the opposite team the whole team would rain fire on him. I would really want it back for good and not limited time only. Again I wouldn’t want it to crash that much.
  • Very fun!

    By TechnoTyde
This game is so much fun and there are so many things you can do! My only real complaint is the aim assist. In my opinion it’s too powerful. Lots of people would argue that it’s necessary on a mobile game but I beg to differ. If you are having trouble aiming then it should encourage you to practice and do things like change your sensitivity or customize your HUD (both of which I have done). As someone who has put a lot of time and effort into improving my skill, it’s frustrating that I can still be killed by someone who is just spraying and letting aim assist do all the work for them. It seems like there is little to no reward for putting in time and effort to improve when you constantly die in close quarters combat just because the aim assist can track almost 100% of your movement. Also it would appear that in most cases, when you jump the aim assist won’t track you completely but just enough so that when you get back down to the ground it will be pointed at your head. If I’m jumping around to attempt to not get shot in a shotgun fight, the aim assist will be pointed somewhere around my thighs at the peak of my jump and when I get back down to ground level it will pointed at head (sometimes doesn’t apply depend on where ground level is). This seems to happen a lot when someone is aiming around my chest before I start jumping
  • Pretty Good... A Few Problems.

    By Video girl24344
Overall, I think Epic Games made a very solid effort to port Fortnite to mobile. The game runs pretty well, and the lag is very limited. While I think that Epic did a very good job of making the game mobile, there are a few problems. The first problem is that you are not able to change the graphical settings within the game. I am upset about this because on my device (iPad mini 4) the graphics are not very good and could definitely be better. When I tried to change the graphics setting, it would not allow me to select any other setting than low. I think that this problem could and should be fixed. The next problem is that the controls are very odd. I have been playing Fortnite mobile ever since it came out and I am still constantly screwing up and accidentally doing something I did not intend to do. I think this problem could be easily fixed by allowing you to pick where you want the buttons on the screen. The last problem is the absence of being able to use a controller. While it may seem like a crazy idea, I think that there should definitely be a way to play Fortnite mobile with an Xbox or PlayStation controller. I think it would make the game far more enjoyable and comfortable to play. Overall, I think Epic did a solid job porting Fortnite to mobile, but it would be very nice if those problems were fixed.
  • Has so much more potential

    By Firecracker550
Hi, I’m a long time fan of fortnite and played every since it came out and when I finally got the invite for mobile I freaked out and immediately got it... I do love the game and understand that this is an invite event and some glitches are to be expected here and there but something that really bothered me were the controls and the game lagging a bit whenever I encounter players. The controls need to be changed because at its current state it makes the game very hard to maneuver and enjoy... if I were the developer I would make it so that the player can be able to change the locations of the buttons because the shoot button which should be somewhere at the bottom right is all the way to the left and it makes it impossible to tap the button and run at the same time without moving ur hand into an odd position. Something in the future that would also help would be changing the shooting system so that only the fire button will allow the player to shoot. Once the player taps the button he/she can hold it and drag it around to move his/her reticle... I think that without a doubt this will make the game much more fluid and enjoyable to new players who are trying to get used to the controls while also bringing relief to other players who currently disapprove with the control system. Hopefully you guys will find a way, Thanks!!
  • Great Game, but VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

    By InsurgencySoldier
I love this game as most people on this planet do, but there are a few things wrong with it on mobile. First of all, when I try to play, it always loads upside down. Sometimes it will fix itself, but sometimes it won’t. Whenever I want to play with someone I often feel uncomfortable holding my iPhone a different way and I feel that this affects the way I play. Second, party services will not work and will sometimes put my squad mates in a game without me. This really annoys me because the reason that I use party services is to play with my friends and I can’t do that if it is not fixed. Third, oh, the lag! Whenever I play sometimes, I find a chest and it won’t let me open it. And then, when it finally stops lagging, it won’t let me pick up weapons either. And it holds me back. Every time I try to move it will put me back where I was before I move, and once I finally move and it doesn’t lag, it’ll do the same thing over again. Fourth, it crashes too much. When I’m in a party, I’m either in a game or in the lobby. When I tap “Ready” on my screen, it’ll crash. Or, if I’m in a battle, it’ll crash while I’m gathering weapons. And Last. Whenever I get out of the app and force quit it the lobby music is still playing . I hope you fix all of this in the next update.
  • Try not crash again

    By avaam
I love fortnite but it always crashes but it’s fine it just keeps crashing after down time or something else and I don’t like how the storm out runs you when you are far ahead of you and later you are in the storm but if theses things don’t change I will still play fortnite like every one else. But I have to add more things when I wrote this it’s was when it was crashing but now I’m adding to it because now when I play a game and I was playing 50vs50 and I was playing a round and it just brought me back to the home screen like a glitch and this kept going for a like 4 days make sure you fix this please or make the game better and I’m not sure if other people are if they are you need to fix this and I know people been saying you need to figure how to reload the ammo better because when I reload it my gun shots accidentally and that will give out your spot and and you should have a spot to press to shot instead of tapping the screen because some times I touch the screen and it shots like I said if these don’t change I will still play fortnite make sure u update so it doesn’t make people glitch out of the game because and few minutes into the game for me it keeps glitching me out it’s really annoying and I’m about to hate fortnite so please fix it
  • You done goof’d

    By Kim10488
I had issues with controls during season3, but ever since season 4 came out this game is unbearable. My running lock gets stuck ALL OF THE TIME (like when I’ve built a fort, and try to inch towards the ledge.....running lock kicks in and I run off the edge of my fort😑). In close quarter gun fights, I’d say about 70% of my shots actually go off. Building is useless. I don’t even think it’s possible to battle build on mobile. It’s barely possible to build when you’re getting fired at cause it glitches so bad. Clicking the hand to open chests, ammo boxes, or to close doors doesn’t always work. When axing, you used to be able to hold down the “fire” button and it would repeatedly “fire”, making gathering materials easy to do on the run... NOW, that doesn’t happen. You have to repeatedly tap to ax, holding the fire button gets like 2 consecutive swings then it glitches and you have to tap. Great way to get killed when you’re trying to get into buildings too. There’s been multiple times where I’d load in, and my whole game would freeze. Buttons will randomly become unresponsive. Entire functionalities of the screen will stop working (clicking ANY button does nothing, can’t move, can’t change view) Idk how everything got so trashed once season 4 came out. I was hoping/expecting this game would get BETTER over time, but clearly they got ahead of themselves with this update cause it is hotttt gaaarrrbahhhggh
  • Awesome Game

    By SterlingCD
I used to think this game was an Overwatch Animated Remake but once I stared playing it with friends and new updates came out week and week, it it now my and most every gamer in the world favorite game! I love this game so much and how it will get updates every week so the game doesn’t get boring and how new cosmetics come to the game and all. It’s just great, and when I heard they were making it for mobile, my jaw dropped because I didn’t think that would ever be possible and nose that it’s out this early and how it is, I’m really impressed, now about the game, is it so much more that I thought it would be, it may be hard to control and all but for and mobile game, you can’t have PC skills on a small screen but for what it does do, it is great, it’s smooth, stable, clean, not may bugs at all. And just for a beta, I’m really impressed. My only concern is the shoot button, I hate that it is on the left side and not the right because it is hard to move and shoot at the same time. I know you can tap the right side but if there was an actual button on the right side that we could hold it just press to shoot, that would be great. Or if in the future, y’all could make a custom control setting were you can customize your control. But overall, great game in general and I love it, keep it up! 👍🏻
  • It needs work

    By dr. felisha
I’m in love with fortnite on the console and I mean love. I’ve been playing since battle Royale since it dropped last year and have became addicted ever since. When fortnite mobile was announced I was super excited to get my hands on it! When I did I was a little disappointed. Every single game and I mean every single one if I don’t die I glitch out. I can just be running around and all of a sudden my character will freeze and I have to restart the game, it very frustrating. Also I’m not really sure why this may just be my opinion but I feel like guns are different then how they really are on console and PC for example, I could get into a shot gun fight with a pump while my opponent has a tactical, I will hit them in the head with the pump and they’ll still be alive but then they one shot my with the tactical and yes, I know this happens on all platforms but it seems to be more of a problem on mobile. Another thing worth mentioning is the aim assist can get very annoying especially when I’m trying to snipe someone, if someone is running and they jump my sniper reticle will follow it and make it really hard to hit my shot. The last thing I want to say is that it’s really glitchy when you first land. Overall fortnite is my favorite game of all time! Just the mobile version need some improvement. Thanks epic, keep up the good work!

Fortnite I want a way so you can trade with any player and you don’t need to be certain level, I also want to be able to change usernames and it’s free or 1.99 or 2.99 pls I rather have it free, and for the trades free and I want a game mode so you can vs any amount of friends, I also want and a larger party that is below 1-10 or 1-20. Also, I also want a server that is easy like a training game mode for people to practice they would have targets to shoot and then next they would have real players or npcs to shoot if there is not enough people I haven’t gotten a solo win yet so I really need this I am bad at it. Next, I want free skins, picks, backpacks, trails, and emotes for tiers for people who don’t have v bucks or people who don’t have enough v bucks. Next, I wanna move tiers a little faster easier. Next, I want to be able to discard daily challenges. Last, I want a game mode you can invite players in and I want Playground mode to stay because I like playing it with my friends so much. I really want these suggestions to happen because I really want to trade, game modes, and change usernames to happen so I don’t have to make a new account. I would really appreciate you epic if you did this I would play more. Please Please Please Please Please do my suggestions I love this btw but I’m bad at it so I get bored a lot thx for reading this! :) 💕
  • Why Do They Not Support Other Phones

    By ShiverPlayz
Most of my friends have iPhones 6 and we just got so happy when it came out we were gonna play together but for some reason it quoted us out. We then uninstalled them and installed it again and same thing happened. We then looked at the description and saw it did not support our kind of I phone and we got frustrated that we couldn’t play my question is if it does not support the types of phones why is it on the App Store for their type of phone like Samsungs etc. They don’t have the same apps as IOS but why is it on the non valid phones if we can’t play them anyway I have the game on my pc but it’s not the same with mobile where I can bring it anywhere. I know you guys update allot and it’s impressive all the hard work you do for us but I just ask to make the game compatible with the non valid I phones it does not support so maybe add I phone 6 to the valid ones I mean what’s the difference between the I phone 6s??? Same thing so why not all the I phone 6’s and many other for those people who have no place to play them on thanks if you read this I appreciate if you make changes for those other people who have I phones 6+ and lower overall I love this game and the graphics I would love to hear from you guys.🎮
  • Bad Controls & Won’t Let me play

    By Can't watch my animation
This game is great, but it has so many flaws. First of all, I was trying to play today, but it wouldn’t let me play because it said I had to update the game first. I was fine with this, so I went to the App Store to update it, simple as that. But I looked everywhere and nowhere did it say that Fortnite had an update. So I go back to the game, and it still insists there’s an update. I check on my sister’s device, and it just lets her in and lets her play, without any update screen, because THERE WASN’T AN UPDATE. So basically I got locked out of the game, and I don’t know when it’s going to fix. Also, it’s stupid how you use the same control to shoot and open chests. Sometimes I try to open a chest, and my gun shoots or I pickax the chest and it breaks. I try at different angles, with a bandage, and it just doesn’t want to open, and I end up making a bunch of noise and get killed. Also, sometimes I’m running and it randomly stops. You should have more control options, and a pad sort of like Minecraft to move around if the player wants it. Also, make the building controls closer to jump and sneak. It really slows players down. Overall it’s Fortnite is a great game, but this has so much more potential, but needs a lot of work.
  • Good game, but very unstable and really poorly optimized.

    By Domonoasis
In general, this game is pretty good. Nice, cartoony style, satisfying gunplay, and creative building mechanic. But god, this port is beyond awful in terms of optimization. First off, I’ll start out with the controls. The control are just terrible. Why would you put an invisible fire button when there’s already a visible one on the left?! Whenever I’m trying to pick something up, my guy shoots like a moron instead, giving my position away. Not only that, but sometimes when I swipe to look in a different direction or to aim, my screen just spazes out randomly like crazy. And also, why would you put the build button right on top of the MOVE BUTTON?!?! I literally have to stay still to build something becoming a valuable target, or give my hands a total cramp trying to move and build at the same time. Next, the optimization. Like I said, poorly optimized. Glitches happen non stop. Sometimes when I change my settings, the settings LITERALLY CHANGE THEMSELVES. Whenever my option to interact gets switched, I literally have to go to the options, leaving me vulnerable, to literally change the options again. Hopefully Epic Games will fix the optimization on this port, and try to work on the controls. Even though I’m a fan of this game, I’ll have to give it two stars because of it’s terrible optimization and controls.
  • Wonderful game But...

    By Subtot
I love this game so much and I always will. As soon as I heard about the mobile launch I signed up and when I got that email I immediately downloaded the game. All of the game is wonderful but I would really like to see IPhone’s Force Touch to be added. I would like for you to be able to force touch the screen to shoot because every iPhone that can run this game has force touch. One game for instance that uses this function is Pixel Gun 3D. You can press hard on the screen to fire and it makes the game so much more enjoyable and less chaotic for your fingers. Also I would really like the ability to move your buttons around to how I would like. That functionality would make this game so much easier to play. The last thing I would like to see is definitely controller support. There are many mobile controllers that would make this game, being it mobile, so much more fun. Since we can play with console players, and since this will more than likely be released for the switch, controller support would make this perfect for on-the-go fun. It is very hard to play with just the screen when you have to battle people with controllers. Please consider this because everyone would enjoy these additions. Thank you for making one of the best mobile games to this day😁😁 much love for y’all😘

After playing a few rounds (and winning one!) this is the Fortnite you know and love nearly perfectly ported to iOS. However, there were three opportunities for improvement I noticed. First, the autoaim doesn’t seem as smooth as it could be. Maybe instead of pulling the crosshair towards the enemy it could redirect player view movement? (E.g. I move diagonally down and to the left when the enemy is actually to the left, so the game acts as if I was panning to the left alone). Second, framerate. Yes, I understand this will be a tough nut to crack, but after getting used to both Fortnite PC and Rules of Survival on iOS at 60 FPS, it is tough to work around the increased input lag and decreased visual information provided by a 30 FPS lock. Maybe the game flip off vsync for 20 seconds or so when the player enters a firefight against another nearby enemy? That way, the improved reaction time of 60 FPS wouldn’t be ruined by the resulting throttle to 15. Third, instead of double tapping to continuously shoot, why not use Force Touch and the Taptic Engine to simulate a clickable joystick? Wherever the view changing finger is, they need only press to fire. Additionally, press to jump would be useful. For inspiration, look to the iPhone X’s flashlight and camera buttons on the lock screen.

Fortnite has been a game I have greatly enjoyed over the couple of days that I have played it. After first hearing about the invite event as many others I immediately got on to the beta and over the course of the next two days I furiously refreshed my emails waiting for the invite. These were two frustrating days for me and I believe that the invite event was handled poorly and shouldn’t have been done the way it was done. But to all who are still waiting to be invited my message is the wait is worth it. Once you get past the frustrating and poorly executed beta (why release a online game that’s servers aren’t ready? PUBG mobile the competition released with no beta just a download and your in.) this app may be the best app I have ever played. This game is a full console experience on mobile. Never have I seen a game ported as flawlessly as Fortnite. The gameplay while great is even better with friends. The game is intense and each match tells a different and exciting story. Epic has created a true masterpiece that’s gameplay is next to perfect. A must have for any mobile gamer, just expect to wait a little bit until you receive the fateful email. Note: I felt so strongly about this game that I wrote my first ever App Store review of this game.

This is by far the best game that has ever been on the App Store. Rules of Survival, Knives Out, Survival Royale, they all have there place on my iPhone, but Fortnite will always be on my dashboard. The other will be kept deep in a folder where I will probably forget about them. No longer will I have to stand waiting with nothing to do but stare at my phone reading boring articles, or in rare instances, playing mindless games. From now on all free time will be spent pouring my heart and my soul into this game. I can wish away my future in computer science and graphic design. I’ll spend what money I have left right now upgrading to an iPhone X and buying cosmetics for Fortnite. That guy you see on the street or in the restaurant staring at his horizontal phone? That’s me. And that group of guys huddle up under the bridge or around the soup kitchen? That’s my buddies and me. I’m hoping that all the pain and suffering we put into grinding this game on mobile will eventually pay off (I’m sure that it will). Pray for me and my buddies as we begin our conquest to climb the ranks of mobile players and become better than the best. Ninja and Myth will know our names and we will beat them in any mobile round of Fortnite. No one will see us coming. Beware.
