How to download, install and play The Birdcage on your PC and Mac

If you want to install and play the The Birdcage game on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use The Birdcage for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: The Birdcage game for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type The Birdcage in the search bar and press Search. Click on The Birdcage game icon. A window of The Birdcage on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your Game will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed Games.
You should see the The Birdcage icon. Click on it and start playing the Game

Step 4: The Birdcage for Mac OS

Hi. Mac Gamer!
The steps to use The Birdcage for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get bluestacks here .

Game Reviews

  • Has potential

    By NeonDragoness
I think this is a good puzzle game for those who are new in the puzzle genre. I went through the puzzles relatively quickly and the in-app purchases are cheap compared to some escape room/puzzle games similar to this. It kept my mind occupied and I found many of the levels replay-able. It’s not bad but an expansion would certainly be appreciated. Also I did run into a bug on one of the levels where the item display stopped working and I had to exit out of the app. Prolonged gameplay is likely to make the game bug up in small ways like this but nothing that an exit-and-swipe-away before coming back to the app can’t fix. Overall, I would recommend to busy people newer to puzzles who want a relatively easy escape-room-esque kind of game to play (and by easy, I mean that the clues in the puzzles are relatively easy to pick up on). I enjoyed it as a puzzle enthusiast, however, like I mentioned, I went through each level relatively quickly, quicker when replaying to get all the gems for unlocking the epilogue; you’ll have a harder time finding all the gems than beating each level. Those who desire head-scratching mega-puzzles may not find this difficult at all, especially since many of the puzzles have a theme and/or repeats types of puzzles.
  • Love this developer

    By itschrusciel
This developer has to be one of my favorites in the escape game genre. I was pumped to see a new game out! Although this game is completely different from the "can you escape" series, it did not disappoint. It is pretty easy compared to the other games, but still very entertaining. The puzzles have a similar feel to the Faraway series, so if you like those games you should definitely check this out. Hell, even if you don't, I'd recommend giving this game a go. I finished it pretty quick, beating the whole game in an hour or hour and a half. For as inexpensive as it is, it's completely worth it. Thanks for another great game, I look forward to what you come up with next!
  • Rudimentary

    By Metacast
Basic puzzles. Some interactions do not qualify as puzzles. The game does capture the mystery ambiance with the music and all. I figured the premium levels would ramp up the difficulty. That was not the case. Premium levels were marginally more entertaining. The “story” seems superfluous and forced. Some puzzles may take you five minutes, likely not. Being very generous here, but perhaps 1.5 hours of gameplay total. Upon completion of the game you are told to stay tuned for future packs. I would gladly run through any future content, but I will not be spending any more money. Worth the free experience, but there is better bang for your buck in the App Store.
  • Purchase?

    By VixenQwerty
You could only play for two birds ( five lvls each) and it’s really annoying on how u have to purchase the other two bird lvls in order to finish the end part and unleash the whole story about the king, I purchased the two bird lvls because I wanted to know the end, but when I got to the end... the ending wasn’t really clear. When I was first getting the app I though there would be endless amount of lvls but I got 10 lvls in total without purchasing 2 dollars to finish the whole story. It so irritating cause the puzzles are very fun too...
  • Absolutely stunning!

    By GabiTheWeeb
Now, I’m not so great at writing reviews, but I feel like this game truly deserves a good one! It is so simple yet challenging, and the graphics are gorgeous. I got so sucked into this masterpiece that I accidentally finished it in one day! I will eagerly be waiting for more levels to be added. In conclusion, this game is definitely worth $2.99! (I bought the full thing right after finishing the first 5 levels ☺️) I can’t wait for the next update 😁
  • 😍OMG! Amazing! But...

    By Jign Geinie
I love it! However the levels were first 3 easy and up to 9 hard... 10 was pretty easy in my opinion. I wish that you could find out why you were freeing birds sooner, but after the 10 free levels, you can guess why.... you have to pay to get the epilogue. The graphics are stunning! I finished the game quite quickly but the graphics are what makes me redo levels! I recommend this game highly!!!
  • Gorgeous but way too easy

    By textomb
I don’t have any problem with paying a reasonable fee for a beautiful game with flawless gameplay, which this has. I never understand why so many people think developers should work so hard to make great content for free. It’s a lovely idea, with truly stunning graphics, and a definite “The Room” feel to it. However, it’s WAY too easy for experienced adult puzzlers. I highly recommend this for children who are learning puzzle games, though.
  • Great beginner puzzle game

    By mixscarlet
The visuals are stunning and rescuing the birds felt very rewarding to do. The puzzles were easy but still fun, I think this would be great for kids. The story was cute if a bit sad (that’s fine! The happy ending was helping the birds) but I felt confused by the epilogue. I won’t spoil it but I wanted to see the end result vs just a tease. Worth the money for sure, thank you devs! Would love to see you put out something more tricky :)
  • Good game, lacks complexity.

    By Shepard's Cry
Rather enjoyed the experience, and the creative component represented within The Birdcage’s varied puzzles, but found myself finished within twenty minutes (Not counting the in app purchases.) While I did not find myself remotely challenged by the problems put before me to be solved, I really enjoyed the experience whilst doing so. All in all, it’s worth your time even though that time is rather minute in the grand scheme of things.
  • Fun and interesting

By Work on this a little more
It’s fun and easy. I’m fine with that. Also it has a story line you can follow too. But what I don’t really like about this, is that when you finish the packs you gotta 💰. Witch I think should be free. I love birds and stuff but I love eagles, man you gotta 💰 for the eagles I’m 😢. But still a wonderful game, ❤️ it. Another thing I like is that you can share this with your family and friends. Let them try to solve the puzzle. Still good game 👍.
  • Good game! But a bit too easy

    By AquaNature6K
So far, my experience with the game has been a pretty positive one. The visuals are great and The Birdcage is intricate. The puzzles are not bad, but they are way to easy. Each pack only has 5 levels and I can beat each in only a few minutes. So overall, I would’ve liked the puzzles to be harder, but I am enjoying it enough to continue playing. Good job, developers!
  • Glitch?

    By IpadJock
The game is very fun but my only concern that causes me to rate it 3 stars is the ‘Eagle Pack glitch’. I tried buying the Eagle Pack 3 times and the app tells me that my purchase was successful, but I’m not able to play it. It still displays “0.99”, instead of “Play”. I try to play it but it brings me right back to the “Purchase for $0.99” screen. I don’t know if it took my money or not, and I don’t get anything in return. Money thieves? Just a glitch? I am concerned.
  • Great level design but too easy

    By AlphaTangoFoxtrot
I went through the free levels pretty quickly and I feel there is a lot of potential to implement more challenging puzzles but since the free levels did not offer that I don’t feel an incentive to purchase the other levels. Based on the levels that are free, this game is not for people who are already veterans to the puzzle game genre but maybe for people who are just getting into it.
  • Nothing special

    By Jaraivy
The idea is great, it’s like The Room, or those escape games but a super super lite version. Almost boring really. The puzzles are too easy, you can’t interact with the birds, there’s some weird underlining story, but you only get a one-lined sentence in an envelope every level. I finished the first 5 levels in under 5 minutes. So far levels 1-10 are free and it’s .99¢ each for the others. If these next 5 levels don’t get more challenging, I’ll be deleting it. There’s nothing to keep me interested so far.
  • I love this!

    By clabesthedog
This is an amazing game! It’s easy to understand yet the puzzles are not too easy. I would definitely recommend! You can use ar or just on your phone and the only problem with ar is that you have to move around each cage a lot. Very interesting puzzle game with a stories bound into the mix
  • Knock-Off

    By killerbob1998
This game is a cute introductory puzzle. However, nothing is very challenging, and it is a shameless rip of “The Room” series. From puzzles to aesthetic to in game mechanics, “The Birdcage” has no original features or special appeal. It’s only saving grace is that it is free, but If you’re considering buying other episodes, don’t bother. “The Room” is a more immersive, challenging experience that is worth paying for. TLDR: this game is a rip-off - the free episodes are fine, but buy “The Room” instead of more episodes of “The Birdcage”
  • Fun, but...

    By sra122
I really enjoy puzzle games and this one is visually beautiful with interesting puzzles. However, there are only 10 puzzles that aren’t behind a paywall and only 20puzzles total. If I hadn’t finished all 10puzzles in a half hour, I might have thought about paying for the other levels. I’m going to hang on to this one for a little while to see if they add more levels. Was hoping for something more challenging.
  • Great work

    By Bhjjkkvcc
There are stunning visuals compelling story and puzzle I would rate this 5 stars but the lack of levels and the fact you have to pay for the ones we already have is disappointing if you wanted people to pay just make the game money and not the levels except that it is a great game sorry for ranting keep up the great work!
  • Beautiful graphics and fun, challenging puzzle.

    By Lois0654
Play this 3D game on an iPad Pro, and though a challenging puzzle, very relaxing. So well done, imaginative and visually artistically pleasing ~ will be trying more games by this developer. After two levels of five games each, worth upgrading to $2.99 for more levels with ad-free play.
  • Decent game, definitely worth checking out!!!

    By Sammid78
Kind of like a “the Room” feel to it, but on a much simpler scale. Overall not a bad game, decent price, you get first 10 levels free, then $2 for next 10 levels or you can opt for the no ads price + all gems + Epilogue level, and pay $2.99. Puzzles are easy and game is finished in under an hour.
  • Good game for kids

    By Qu1nn13
This game attempts to mimic The Room series by the way that it plays, types of puzzles, etc. however this is much more kid friendly in that the puzzles aren’t nearly as hard. I finished the whole game in 30 min. but it is free and is good in what it is. Would recommend The Room series over this, despite price, for adults or if this is too easy.
  • Needs more to the puzzles

    By K K M G 99
Overall I think the game is good. It is challenging enough to put your brain to work, but easy enough to not get confused and quit out of frustration. The only problem about it that you have to spend 99 cents to get 5 short puzzles that take you a few minutes to complete.
  • Great visuals and ideas

    By sloppygangsta
I paid .99 for 5 levels. At least make it ad free during those levels, my goodness. Each puzzle takes about 4 minutes to complete so it’s really not difficult at all. I breezed through .99 very quickly. I can see why it’s addictive. It’s very fun visually and the idea is a fresh take on a classic game idea.
  • Engaging, but definitely needs more content

    By dannydlv
The 10 free levels were relatively easy yet complex enough to hold my interest but 5 levels in an expansion pack is not worth a dollar each for the content in each level. The current model of puzzle games usually offer nearly 100 levels with more complexity for around 5 dollars or free through time/premium currency gates. The bird cage is good, but not enough levels to justify its price.
