How to download, install and play Pokémon GO on your PC and Mac

If you want to install and play the Pokémon GO game on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Pokémon GO for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Pokémon GO game for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Pokémon GO in the search bar and press Search. Click on Pokémon GO game icon. A window of Pokémon GO on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your Game will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed Games.
You should see the Pokémon GO icon. Click on it and start playing the Game

Step 4: Pokémon GO for Mac OS

Hi. Mac Gamer!
The steps to use Pokémon GO for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get bluestacks here .

Pokémon GO: Descriptions and Gameplay

Pokémon GO has now introduced social and trading features that allow Trainers to connect with each other by adding friends, sending Gifts, and participating in a new Friendship level system that unlocks bonuses. Trainers can now trade Pokémon with other Trainers nearby, earning a Candy Bonus for the Pokémon received. Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. Pokémon GO is the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded over 800 million times and named "Best Mobile Game" by The Game Developers Choice Awards and "Best App of the Year" by TechCrunch. Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered! Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away! Search far and wide for Pokémon and items Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops and Gyms—found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments—to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items. Catching, hatching, evolving, and more As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger. Compete in epic Gym battles You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side. As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers. Team up to defeat powerful Raid Bosses A Raid Battle is a cooperative gameplay experience that encourages you to work with up to 20 other Trainers to defeat an extremely powerful Pokémon known as the Raid Boss. If you succeed in defeating it in battle, you’ll have the chance to catch an extra powerful Pokémon of your own! It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await! Game Reviews

  • Love this game, I think it can be even better if...

I love this game it got my family motivated to get out there and get fit. My kids have acquired a healthy love for walking. Reading all these reviews I think there needs to be a platform where users can make suggestions. Obviously niantic can ignore the suggestions but they might get some really good ideas from it. I think they should also have a platform for support when the troubleshooting doesn’t solve the problem. For instance the app says it has a capability for family sharing... How do we do that??? My kids play with us but they don’t have their own devices I’d love to figure out how to use that! Also I think t would be a great added bonus to getting in a gym if you could collect items from the gym regardless of where you are (similar to the option where you can feed your Pokémon from far away)and it would give ppl who are far away from any gyms or stops a chance to collect items at a rate those of us who are near them can collect them. It would also motivate ppl more to get in those gyms or get in more gyms. Additionally in the areas where there are less stops you could make more of them gyms to provide more access to players in that area. Of course you could always limit the benefit when collecting from afar like you do with feeding Pokémon maybe make it collectible only every ten minutes or something... Anyways love the game not complaining just making suggestions ;)
  • Great game but more content plz

    By 5 STAR!!!!!!!!<3
I love the game and its easy to use interface but I and all of my friends at school agree that your amazing game lacks some necissary content to be a truly great game. I belive you should add trading pokemon above all else and along with that casual battles with near by players. Now for my personal favorite addition is that some people have a daily struggle with living in a small town like mine where there is literaly 1 pokestop in all of town and you never go near it so that results in having a very limited supply of poke balls which is by far the most important item in the game because without them you cant catch anything which results in the lack of xp which means you cant level up. You cant get good cp pokemon (much less pokemon at all) which means no gyms or raids. To combat this major issue I propose you and some sort of daily spin or add more pokestops and gyms. Now I doubt you (the devs) will see this much less read it all but if you do I greatly appreciate it. Thank you as I hope this may help bring life back into this once amazing and well played game. P.S. ( I am saying this not only to make this game more fun for me but all of the friends I play this game with are compaining about a few of these issues and I would like to continue playing the game with the game with them as this is the only game I play and I fear they may quit playing if you do not add content. )
  • Rural players matter too!!

I love this game and play everyday but some recent changes are really hurting rural players. I live in a town of >1500 people and we have a Pokémon base of maybe 50 players around town, many of us having full time jobs, kids, or school or any combination of the 3. Sometimes it gets really difficult to get a enough players together for raids especially legendary raids that require a group of 7-8 or more because most of the players in rural areas like this aren’t much higher level than 25.. even some of the most active players are still only 30-33. Now you’ve changed the raid timers down to 45 there will be even less raids happening in my area. Most of the raids we were able to complete have been in the last 10-15 minutes of the 1 hour raids. Also the raid boss switch is pretty lame in my opinion the level 4s aren’t even worth while anymore at least before every once in a while you could get a snorlax or t-tar. Now the best thing is golem and what avid players don’t already have an army of them from fighting the legendary birds? Sableye and porygon are the only decent changes but now there is nothing with the strength of alakazam or machamp that is worth while for tier 3 and lower. Your changes have been for the worse and you are just making your fan base angrier with these useless changes when you should be focused on giving us thing we all want like trading, pvp, mew, and the rest of gen 2!!
  • Good but could be better

I’ve been playing almost since the beginning and am a daily player. Love the research tasks. I do however think niantic is a bit greedy. Let me start off by saying I buy coins at least once a month if not more during special events. With that said can you tell me why it takes me five balls to catch a 112 weedle? I’m level 38. I should catch them with the first ball. I don’t mind it head butting the ball away but it should not break free when I catch it at my level. What’s the point of golden raspberries or regular for that matter when they do nothing? Why am I 3 for 11 on latios raid? I throw great curveballs every time. I should have better odds at my level. What’s the point of the levels if you are not benefiting any where in the game? Just disappointed. Feel some thought should go in to how you do when catching either wild or raid bosses based on level otherwise it’s all meaningless. Don’t make me waste balls on crappy or low xp rats, it’s not challenging, it’s annoying. That’s why people quit or take breaks. Lures and incense are completely useless. Don’t do jack. Stop putting them in special boxes. Also sick of same ones everyday. The only time you mix it up is during special events. It’s just lazy computer script writing. Otherwise the game is fun and worth trying whether your a fan of the series or not. But have to give three stars because you work really hard to level up for NOTHING.
  • Great Game BUT........

    By canine baker
This is a wonderful game, great to get people out and moving I definitely recommend it for people who live in populated areas and towns BUT if you live in the rural areas and the country sides of this country where service is spotty and where they placed most all the stops and gyms there is NO SERVICE then playing this game is almost worthless. As a player moving from the city to the country it almost leaves me no choice but to quit or almost forget about the game, sad because I’m a paying player. I read how Niantic was working hard at trying to come up with a resolution for RURAL players but every update and addition to the game benefits populated players. Even trying to contact help support and Niantic is a waste of time, all you will get is a return email where someone will just copy and paste the same answers over and over again, if you cared to do something about this critical issue then maybe taking a moment and conversing with the rural players may help. I hate to have to leave this game but Niantic does not seem to care if they lose their rural players and that is so sad as if you maybe took the time to work with rural players the issue could be resolved, I say to the populated players get out and have an awesome time playing this game and don’t complain about adding a couple bucks to the game it is a lot cheaper then a night out to the movies and a lot more fun with the family! Signed The forgotten rural players!
  • A really good game but some disappointments

Pokémon GO is a really good game. I like the fact that the game makes you go outside to catch Pokémon. The game makes you really excited about what you are going to catch next... but there are a few thing I want to talk about, like regional Pokémon. I think that you guys at Niantic should think of something to people is the USA can catch Pokémon like mr. mine and let the people in England catch Tauros with out needing to fly there just to catch ONE Pokémon. Another thing is the Field Research. I like it a lot and when you finish it and get the “Mystery Pokémon” you either get Moltres, Zapdose, or Articuno. But when you finish it a second time around, you get the same legendary Pokémon. I think that every time you get the field research mystery encounter should be a different bird Pokémon. And after you get all the three legendary bird Pokémon, It would give you The legendary Pokémon Mewtwo, then onto the GEN two legendary Pokémon, then to the GEN three Pokémon etc, etc. I think this would be a good idea for the people who missed out on the special raids like for Mewtwo and the other Legendary Pokémon. Please make this an update because I’m only a 12-year-old boy who has been in Pokémon GO since the beginning and the only 2 legendary Pokémon I have are Entei and Moltres, which I got from the Field Research. Thank you.

I got through the bad things about this app (Making an account took forever and I got stuck on loading) I have enjoyed the good stuff. I am on a roadtrip and as such I have been able to sit down, relax, then get exercising because the game has plenty of Poké Stops in cities, suburban areas have schools as Poké Stops sometimes, and basically, as long as you are near a Poké Stop you can enjoy this app to the fullest. Partly Cloudy weather has lead to me being able to catch so many different Pokémon and within a few minutes of playing I caught an Eevee and I love my Water Pokemon that I caught so far (Water is my favorite type) and I have enjoyed being able to play this game that has encouraged me to Pokémon GO outside and get exercise! At first the app seems blank, sure, but then you walk around and find a group of Plusle, Minun, Geodude, and so many more. And thankfully catching one doesn’t scare all the others away. I haven’t caught Pikachu, one of my favorite Pokémon, but on this road-trip I feel like I am destined to find one. I don’t care if I have to walk around the campground until 10:00 At Night. I will do what all my years of playing Pokémon has taught me. I will tell myself this everytime I feel tired and there is a nearby Poké Stop. Gotta Catch ‘em All! But seriously. Don’t put yourself in danger playing this app. Even if that shiny Magikarp (The King of Carp!) is right there. Don’t drown for it.

  • Love this game so much, but some flaws cause it to be so frustrating

    4
    By Jaclynlou
There have been a few times where I’ve been in a very large raid group (10-20 people) and a few of us will get kicked out in the middle of the battle and we won’t be allowed back in (even when there’s time left on the clock) to catch the Pokemon. There have been times where after this glitch happens, I will still have my raid pass, but all of my Pokemon will be injured or knocked out. There are also times where I have lost my raid pass in this glitch and it causes me to have to buy another one on the spot. It’s very frustrating and embarrassing to commute far out to meet up with a raid group, only to have the game glitch out on me. I’ve been playing this game since the day it came out and glitches like this cause me to get very discouraged and flustered. That being said, I love this game so much; it truly makes my long walk into work better and more fun, AND it encourages me to go out for walks during my lunch break. I would say that it has been a very positive influence on my life and some of my friends lives. It makes my day more exciting, and it helps me feel a level of nostalgia considering I played all of the Pokemon games growing up. I hope this game is up and running forever, I just wish that some of the gym issues would get cleaned up a bit :)
  • Best game ever

Almost. I love the new trading and friend system, this has been one of my favorite games over the last couple years. But I think that you guys should add a chat system to organize raids better. It could be like a messaging system between friends only so that way there no trouble with stalking or anything negative like that but it would make it easier to organize raid parties without having to download a third party app like WhatsApp which requires you to let everyone know your phone number. Also it would be great to be able to buy great or ultra balls from the shop as well. I walked at a park near me for about 30 miles and caught every Pokémon that appeared. By the end of the walk I only received about 40 ultra balls and 50 great balls which sounds great until you consider that I walked for 9 hours. I received plenty of regular poke balls though(over 250 to be exact). One last note, I live in Miami and there are plenty of places to go play Pokémon go but sometimes I wish I could just walk around my area without having to travel to play. There’s plenty of things that could be pokestops near me but just aren’t. There are 2 churches on my corner that don’t have pokestops. Right across the street there is a building with a cool design that could be a pokestops but I refuse to download ingress just to request pokestops.
  • Great, but still missing some stuff

    4
    By Tabarius Quan
I played this game on and off since it first came out in 2016. And while I think it’s a solid game, it’s still missing out on some things. There’s still really poor rural and suburban representation in Pokémon go, especially in regards to raids and pokestops. I understand if raids have to take place in towns, but it wouldn’t hurt to have at least some amount of pokestops near communities. I live near a local park and there are zero pokestops there. I understand that there’s an option to create pokestops indirectly through another Niantic game, Ingress, but from my experience that game isn’t properly optimized for newer iPhones, and the base-building system is clunky and tedious. It would make more sense for Pokémon GO players to create new pokestops in gardens and parks, so that they can more easily play the game away from the city or towns. Another minor complaint is the sound. What was the deal with the sudden degrade in sound quality? Was that for saving battery life? Another good thing to add would be to battle other players’ Pokémon directly, instead of going to a raid or a gym and battling their Pokémon there. Niantic still needs to realize that not all of their player base is willing to drive 10 miles to go catch and see Pokémon. If these issues would be fixed this game would be 5 stars.
  • New update is great but it might as well have totally killed the go plus device

    By Holyman47201
Update with the newest version. Really annoying bug I’m hoping it’s a bug at least. Every time you transfer or rename a Pokémon it always jumps back to the top of the list instead of staying where you were. Very annoying and time wasting change having to scroll all the time. I really like the changes in the new update. The weather pattern thing is great. The button push charge move in gym battles is a huge improvement. The spawn rates have improved. Overall a really great update. However, it has basically killed any usefulness the go plus device had. The catch rate wasn’t great before, but at least it was acceptable for what it was. That definitely changed with the update. With the weather feature causing affected Pokémon to be higher cp the plus is even worse. You just can’t catch an almost maxed out anything with a regular ball. I would suggest what I think would be a fairly easy fix. Maybe have the game automatically start a catch attempt with a suggested ball instead of a regular one every time. Ie... if it pops up and I see the circle yellow I switch to a great ball. Red goes to ultra balls. Have the game/go plus be smart enough to do the same thing. I have huge stockpiles of great and ultra balls so I’d rather the plus use those to improve the catch rate.
  • Love it, but needs improvement

To start this off, I want to let you know that this is a great game. Even though it was the craze a year or two back, I’ve just started playing a week ago and love it! There’s only a couple things that I would like that might get other players back into it. First off, changing that battle system is a must. Players do not like the mad tapping and sliding you do when you battle a gym. Maybe switching it to the usual battle style will keep players happy. Secondly, I think adding battling and trading with other players will make it more enjoyable. I personally, don’t have the money to fly to another region and catch a Pokémon that is region specific. If we had trading, you could trade with someone elsewhere that might have the Pokémon. Also, the battling will keep players engaged to the point where they will try and beat their friends by catching more powerful Pokémon. Last but not least, I think you should add NPCs to the game. With the battle mechanics you could add trainers to battle against and earn rewards for winning! That would give players enough enthusiasm to go and battle trainers. Adding the evil organizations like Team Rocket could also add some spice to the game. That’s all I have, and thank you for reading!
  • Great Fun!!!

First let me say that I’m 53 years old, so I’m most likely not the average player of this game. I first became interested in the world of Pokémon back in 1998, when my older children discovered the TV show. Because of their heavy interest in all things Pokémon I took interest as well, trying to be a good dad. I invested HEAVILY in the card game, took the kids to weekend tournament each week, even became our local gym leader (because I was one of the rare adults who knew Pokémon as well as the children). Now we flash forward almost 20 years later an I’ve re-entered the world of Pokémon through Pokémon Go! The game is so well laid out, with quick and easy to learn game aspects, even for a newby to Pokémon. The best part of the game is that it’s design encourages the players to get out and move around. To walk and explore your town or city. Since every park, mall, restaurant, or store may be a hotspot for a new breed of Pokémon you’ve yet to catch. I’ve even been able to get my wife playing the game. Which says a lot since she almost totally avoided stuff back when our older children were heavily into the Pokémon world. This game is by far one of the best, most fun and addictive games I’ve ever played. Once you start you’ve “GOTTA CATCH EM ALL”!!!

I’ve been playing Pokémon go since it first came out. There have probably only been 2 game apps I’ve ever used for this long. There are two things I’m currently unhappy about. How difficult it is for rural players to get some action. It is at least 5 miles to the closest pokestop—-there’s no way of walking that far, which I thought was the main idea of PG (getting people more active). There is NO Pokemon spawning near my home. I can walk from one end of my road to the other end and there are 2 spots where they spawn. 2 lousy spots. Once I catch what’s there, it takes a while for a new one to spawn so what am I supposed to do? Turn around and walk the miles again for 2 more Pokemon? And the raid battles. There is no way on earth that a small town will ever get 17-20 people together to catch a legendary out here. It’s impossible even with social media. My second complaint is the lack of revives! I understand that you want to make money on the game but come on! Pokémon go is one of the few games I have spent money on. I have mainly bought lucky eggs and incubators. No way am I gonna sink money into revives. I guess when all my Pokémon faint I will just quit the game. It wouldn’t be as bad if there was a way to earn coins in the game. I used to earn a few coins by defending gyms but you hardly earn any coins currently.
  • Great Concept, But It Could Use Polish

    By RetroMarioGamer
So, Pokemon games are about getting Pokemon and pitting those Pokemon against other Pokemon, right? Well this game is just that, but without the second part. Sure, catching Pokémon in the real world with AR is genius, but it gets old after a while. And the only way to battle other Pokemon is going to gyms. Now, what’s smart about the gyms is that you need to be a certain level to enter certain gyms, which encourages you to level up more by, again, getting Pokemon. Now, what I mean by the battling part of the game not being there is this: it sort of feels like an afterthought. If your Pokemon faint in battle, you’re in for some SERIOUS grinding. First, you have to get potions from pokestops so you can use them to heal your Pokemon. But oh no! If your Pokemon aren’t leveled up enough, you can’t heal them! Wanna level them up? Sorry! Nope! YOU have to be a certain level in order to level up your Pokemon, AND THEN you can heal them. This is literally the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever experienced in a video game. Granted, gym battles are optional, but if the option is available, don’t make it so freaking tedious!! Although, I have hope that you will fix these problems, because this game used to have SEVERE internet issues, and you fixed that. So please, listen to my complaints and fix the grinding issues!!
  • I really love this game but I think it could use some features

    By x.Hendrix.x
I genuinely love Pokémon Go. I have stuck with it since it came out. There are some things I think would be cool to add. Trading Pokémon would be great but I understand why they haven’t released it yet. There is no defeating the game or beating a final boss or anything there is just filling your Pokédex, which with trading would then be too easy. I feel like you should be able to see other players in game their like avatars I don’t see why battling other trainers in the game would be a bad feature to add I think it would be fun. Also in the other Pokémon games there were healing stations, I get we have revives and pokestops but I have found it very hard to get enough to actually do battles. I have to say rural areas should have more pokestops and more accessible Pokémon. When the game first came out I lived 7 miles from the nearest pokestop. I have to get a ride into the small town near my where I lived and even then there were like 5 pokestops throughout the town. Maybe a way to message other players would be nice because I only know like 4 people near me interested in playing this game so if I could like message people and tell them I’m going to this raid battle come join that would be cool.
  • Niantic choosing fight against cheaters over legit players

    5
    By AndrewTre
With my account nearing 2 years of age, which will happen on the 7th of July, I have been waiting for trading since launch, and I have to say I’m disappointed, the IV reroll destroys any want for me to trade with my friends, I don’t have any interest in spending the stardust for a Pokémon I would otherwise transfer if I caught. Though I understand that it keeps cheaters and spoofers from acquiring perfect Accounts that much faster I believe it really screws the people that have been playing for 2 years now. Having played for two years, my Pokédex is pretty much full aside from regional exclusives and I looked forward to this as being an ability to fill these holes in my Pokédex with people I raid with a couple of times a week, knowing this is going to cost a million stardust, or make me wait 90 day’s for it to drop to a reasonable cost, has completely deterred me from trading all together. At the very least I would like to see the IV reroll be taken away. People are going to cheat, there’s no way around it, but I should be able to trade the High IV Pokemon that would make a much bigger impact on my friends teams then they would on mine .

I LOVE what you’ve done to improve the game, with friends and raids and research and everything! One thing I’m bothered by, though, is the gym/coin system. I understand needing to put a cap on how much coin can be earned from having a Pokémon in a gym, but a 50 limit per day across the board seems stilted. For example, I had a Pokémon in a gym for a little while (a day or so), and when she came home she brought 50 coins. Awesome! But then, that same day, another Pokémon from a different gym came home - one who’d been at the gym for four days - and didn’t bring anything, because I’d already reached my daily 50-coin max. I just feel like the system could be improved - maybe keep the coin-every-ten-minutes but move the 50-coin cap to be per day each Pokémon is gone? So, if a Pokémon is only gone 20 minutes he brings home 2 coins, but if he’s gone for 2 days he brings home 100, regardless of what any other Pokémon brought home that day? Just a thought. But my four-days-missed Pokémon bringing home nothing was really a bummer, and I don’t feel incentivized to keep my Pokémon in gyms for very long, with the system working the way it does....

Pokémon Go is a fantastic mobile game that models the Pokémon franchise that is Pokémon. The Pokémon and art in the game are one-hundred percent the originals and nothing looks off from previous Pokémon games. The game is completely legit. When I think of a Pokémon Game this the one that’s first in mind. If you where ever a fan of Pokémon like I am then you must agree that Pokémon Go is pretty close to being perfect and still has room to improve. By being a mobile game the game the app has to update in time and there is huge changes with the game since the day it started back in 2016. I give the game 5 starts for all the hard work that has been put forth to improve the game. It honestly is the best MOBILE game there is. You can take your device anywhere and now there is meaning why during the gameplay. You can meat people and learn about Pokémon in a way that I couldn’t before with the original game boy games I have grew up on. It’s Fantastic. The developers listen and reason with everybody they will explain why they do something the way they do. Niantic is a great developer and glad they took on the world of Pokémon with there Pokémon Go. Keep it up Niantic

The only reason why i’m playing this is because my family forces me to and they’re not hard core Pokémon fans like me. This game has been out for a year and a half and even though it’s on Generation Three there is a lot of problems with it. The fact that every time there is an update i can’t play for some reason. I can’t enter gyms or spin pokéstops, when the game does finally start after a long loading screen all i see is a black screen, and the worst part is i have been robbed of gym raid passes more than i fight raid bosses and get them. This game also makes no sense. Why should the pokémon trainer level up when we don’t do anything. It’s the pokémon that do all the hard work. The whole point of pokémon leveling up after battles was to make it fun, exciting, and worth playing. You could play against your friends with really high powerful pokémon and see who had was lucky enough to come out on top. Another thing is why is it that pokémon need candy and stardust to level up. This part makes no sense. Candy exist in the pokémon universe but for different reasons. Why can’t pokémon go be an extension of the pokémon franchise instead of its own thing. Seriously this game is worse than Star Wars Seven. At least in Star Wars the god awful evil characters stayed dead, but in this game they keep coming back like a disease i don’t have the right medication for.
  • Individual quests??

The game could use some individual quests where specific targets and goals need to be reached in order to capture a particular type of Pokémon. While the camaraderie that the raids bring out is fantastic, it also brings out certain drawbacks where trainers don’t utilize their stardust (many have saved up but relatively untapped because there’s really no reason to) to properly power up their Pokémon to assist with defeating Raid bosses leaving the burden to the rest of the trainers. While in a larger settings with 10+ trainers it really doesn’t matter but the underlying issues are that these raids are simply hand outs. The raids are often too easily won without much of a challenge. Experiences are too easily achieved, rewards are overwhelmingly abundant. There isn’t much that needs to be done from a strategic point of view. Perhaps individual goals or making the Raid bosses more difficult to actually defeat or returning the old gym system with highest CP on top. Currently as it stands, rare candies are in no shortage for the most part for those who participate in many raids; for some-stardust may be the limiting agent but that can be solved by catching more over time. For others, they keep storing their stardust and don’t necessarily use them because there hasn’t been any compelling reasons to.
  • Recently returned and want to play more, but..

I was one of those players who played at launch for a month, and was driven away by how hollow the game was. There has been a lot of improvement since then. I’ve recently moved to Florida from the far north and am motivated to spend more time outside. Enter my Pokémon GO revival: The game itself is fun and engaging now that there has been a lot of content added. You can read that in any review. The criticisms I’d like to contribute outweigh the benefits I’ve been enjoying lately. Niantic has a bad reputation when it comes to app support and listening to customer feedback. The notable exception being during in game events that they need to continually host in order to sustain a player base. iPhone X users had been waiting for an update to support their device for quite some time, despite developers having more than adequate time to provide it. Niantic’s solution, nearly a full month after the iPhone X release, was to zoom everything in and make everything look and feel wonky. The edges are also cut off so they could stretch the UI vertically. Lazy and sloppy. There’s no excuse for this, and my rating will remain at 1 star until this is addressed. iPhone X users now have a smaller usable map on a larger display. The game was more playable before they “supported the iPhone X.” Get your stuff together, Niantic.
  • Personal goals system

So I love playing this game and have been with them since the beginning. Niantic has put in systems that have helped the game grow and stay in the top charts. I loved it when they added the 7 day streaks system. It gave me more XP and Stardust on a regular basis and I really needed it. I was thinking that they should add personal goals in Pokémon Go. For example, there could be daily and weekly challenges that could grant you Poké Coins, super incubators, and other bundles of items. In addition to personal goals, I believe that Niantic should scrap the EX Raids and make it so that you need to complete your own goals in order to attempt to catch Mewtwo. This way you won’t have to rely on luck as much and you don’t need to rely on other players. Another idea is that there should be a “Sell” option in he shop. Just like in the Pokémon games, you can sell items that either are worth a lot or don’t have any use for you. I have so 300+ total potions that’s I have to just discard to make more room for Poké balls. It would be awesome if I could sell the items I don’t want and receive Poké coins. It’s just a thought. I love this game so much and I hope the updates keep on rolling in!
