How to download, install and play Pokémon GO on your PC and Mac

If you want to install and play the Pokémon GO game on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Pokémon GO for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Pokémon GO game for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Pokémon GO in the search bar and press Search. Click on Pokémon GO game icon. A window of Pokémon GO on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your Game will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed Games.
You should see the Pokémon GO icon. Click on it and start playing the Game

Step 4: Pokémon GO for Mac OS

Hi. Mac Gamer!
The steps to use Pokémon GO for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get bluestacks here .

Pokémon GO: Descriptions and Gameplay

Pokémon GO has now introduced social and trading features that allow Trainers to connect with each other by adding friends, sending Gifts, and participating in a new Friendship level system that unlocks bonuses. Trainers can now trade Pokémon with other Trainers nearby, earning a Candy Bonus for the Pokémon received. Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. Pokémon GO is the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded over 800 million times and named "Best Mobile Game" by The Game Developers Choice Awards and "Best App of the Year" by TechCrunch. Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered! Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away! Search far and wide for Pokémon and items Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops and Gyms—found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments—to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items. Catching, hatching, evolving, and more As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger. Compete in epic Gym battles You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side. As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers. Team up to defeat powerful Raid Bosses A Raid Battle is a cooperative gameplay experience that encourages you to work with up to 20 other Trainers to defeat an extremely powerful Pokémon known as the Raid Boss. If you succeed in defeating it in battle, you’ll have the chance to catch an extra powerful Pokémon of your own! It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await! • Love it! Just a couple touch ups

    By megan perrett
Please work on the sounds the Pokémon make and I would love to be able to see my friends characters on my own screen too! Also battery saver should be a default setting, I hate having to keep turning it on every time I login because most of the time I forget to and then my phone dies.
  • Disappearing pokeballs

    By toni*baloni
Ok I came here hoping to see a lot of people reporting that there pokeballs were disappearing but it looks like I’m the only one. For about a month I thought I was just crazy because I would have over 100 pokeballs, play for a little while and be at zero but I wasn’t pay close attention so I didn’t really think anything of it until this week when it became obvious. I bought 100 balls, caught a few but kept my eye on my numbers. I got to 46 left, threw a ball and it went to zero automatically. 46 balls gone. Bought 100 more today, got down to 67 and the same thing happened. 67 balls gone!
  • Crashes

    By jessidis
Well since you've made it impossible to log in with a Hotmail account and I have been playing for 2 years I am deleting the app. It was fun while it lasted
  • Great game, but have issues.

    By n0tlad
So when the Pokemon go first came out it was great, and for awhile I was having fun and then at some point I deleted it and have not been able to get back on since. I wish Niantic had some sort of way to contact them so I could figure out the problem. My game loads up, then screen turns black for a moment before the app turns off. It's really confusing and annoying but I enjoyed the game, and would like to enjoy all the new updates.
