How to download, install and play Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links on your PC and Mac

If you want to install and play the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links game on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links game for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links in the search bar and press Search. Click on Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links game icon. A window of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your Game will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed Games.
You should see the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links icon. Click on it and start playing the Game

Step 4: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links for Mac OS

Hi. Mac Gamer!

Game Reviews

  • Pay to win or not

    By EconTakeUrGf
This game can be played using free to play, and they have come a long way in that regard. I have been playing since the game came out and absolutely love it. My only warning to people is that if you enjoy it as much as I did and would like to be able to play competitively you will have to drop quite a bit of money. For instance if a new box comes out you would have to drop 100 to 200 dollars to get three copies of the cards. They do have sales, ranked tickets, and events that are a good way to get cards for free, but like I said before without dropping some money you will not have the advantage some have, and depending on the deck type it could be a huge disadvantage. I have notice recently that when a box comes out there rares are now becoming much better cards, which is easier for F2P people to obtain, and they have events all the time to collect cards. Lastly if you want to be competitive at this game you will also need to spend a lot of time! If a event comes and you miss that chance to pick up those cards it can mean you will not be able to use the best arch type for a long time. So remember the facts, the games is fun and well designed, it is free to play if you just want to have fun and be semi competitive, you will drop a lot of money to stay current with the meta, and you will have to spend a lot of time playing events and ranked or fall behind. Hope this helps anyone wanting to play.
  • Absolutely phenomenal!!! How is this free?

    By Mjakef
This is probably the most fun Yu-Gi-Oh! Experience I've ever had. And I'm super into Yu-Gi-Oh! In general. I was hesitant at first because the smaller game board. But after playing, I actually really really like it. I like the idea of quick games. It lets me practice certain strategies faster than the original game. It's more like the show that way. I also love the voice acting and the time that the developers put into this. I can really feel the heart that was put into this. I am constantly amazed because of the innovative new updates that continually come to this game!!! I really cannot. Believe this game is free! In no way do you have to pay to win. The option is there if you want it, but I've only paid once, and I really didn't need to. I honestly felt guilty that I didn't at least pay a little bit. It's really that good. If you like Yu-Gi-Oh, this app is a must have. I've even showed this app to a few of my friends who've barely heard of Yu-Gi-Oh!, and I've gotten a few of them attached. You don't have to be a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! To appreciate a well made game. I just want to personally thank everybody who put in the work into perfecting this game. Every little corner that wasn't cut goes a LONG way, and I'm sure I speak for a lot of people who regularly play this game, Thank you guys so so much!!!!!
  • Great game, terrible PvP

    By Doris floris gorgeous
The game used to be great. However, it has fallen from grace. The events that Konami cycles through are usually very fun and enjoyable. The characters, skills and vibe of the game are easy to pick up - not to mention you don’t have to spend $$$ to get the full experience. Every other review complains about problems that can be worked around, yet none mention the only issue with the game - PvP (the worst condition it’s ever been in, no contest). The added cards come in sets called “boxes.” Each box has a theme which typically contain cards that harmonize together. The newer additions are absolutely brainless and require 0 skill to construct a successful deck. You see morons in the chat spamming what is and what isn’t meta, yet everyone seems to forget what made yugioh great initially - the originality of character personality and their unique flavor of cards. Watch out for the raw skill and prowess possessed by people who use “Sylvan” and “Aromage” cards, they’re sure to out maneuver you or maybe even win in one turn! Such fun! The catering to amateurs has undoubtably destroyed the PvP aspect of the game but fortunately there’s more to do than dueling other players. Although this is simply an opinion, I believe this review holds some merit as I’m a multiple-time KoG player and have played for over a year and a half. Enjoy the unlocks and atmosphere of the game & approach PvP cautiously at your own risk.
  • Stale meta game and slowly introducing paywall is a turnoff

    By Pboy101
I’ve played YGO Duel Links since the near beginning and have had a lot of fun. At its peak, it was a game that was very cerebral, encouraged variety deck building, strategic PVP plays, and enjoyable nostalgic PVE events. But then a series of overpowered cards were released and for a long time the top of the meta game consisted of just a handful of decks; same decks and skills over and over again made the game very stale. Konami finally dropped a new ban list to try to remedy this problem and we’ll see what effect it has when the ban list takes effect. At the same time, Konami has also released the first pay only set of cards (structure deck). This is preceded by structure decks that were purchasable with game currency for the first time around and then with real money only the subsequent purchases. Now I have spent some real money on this game and don’t mind throwing a little support now and then because it’s a well made game. However, locking cards behind a paywall with no option to get the them besides real money sets a very bad precedent and I will not support this business model. I think the game the way it was, all cards obtainable by all players whether it be through cash or grind, is the way to go. Play the game for nostalgia, play the game because it can be very fun when the meta game is in balance, but do not support the business model of pay-only contents, that’s how you end up with a dead game.
  • It was a great game!

    By angelmstang
I have been playing this game for a long time now. I built my own deck, original deck. Lately, an update introduced a new character: Dr. Crowler. His deck has become way too powerful to even enjoy playing this game. I say that because I love playing online. And since his deck is too powerful, everyone knows this so everyone uses him. There is no originality anymore because everyone just wants to use him. I get happy whenever I see a new character, even if I lose. You see, the point of this game is to meet people who have original decks that surprise you. Not to meet Crowlers or Pegasus who spam their powerful and unfair cards. The card “ancient gear castle” should be banned or at least limited. Not only does it allow you to summon monsters over 3000 of power just by using its effect (which I should add, is very easy to use. You and the person controlling this card only have to summon two monsters, and you can happily summon a monster with over 3000 of power.) you would think that this is okay. But the monsters summoned by this effect don’t allow you to use not only traps but spell cards either. So unless you can summon a monster with over 3000 of power soon in the game, you are done for. It is such an unfair advantage, because your opponent CAN use spell and trap cards to defend.
  • Nice game, but issues must be fixed

    By CiancA007
It's a really nice game will keep playing, but will delete if not change that annoying and stupid bugs like when i got some cards on the packs and then after few days or even next play time the cards simply disappeared what's very frustrating you gotta make sure only people what hacks they accounts suffer this glitch not honest people what do fair play....also this crazy cards sequences like some times you don't have a way to play because all start hand cards don't give you any chance even the cards what you draw besides the horrible start hand cards makes you fell mad and you lose even if you have nice deck for exemple have times what i loose 5 battles in a row or even more because the the start cards and following draw cards are very useless on the sequence what they comes...but sometimes i start my hand with kaibaman ans blue eyes equip spells trap cards it's unbelievable and unfair with challengers....should have a better balance with the cards not only a stupid luck it's very rare when i have a real good duel, i gonna give 1 star till you fix it because unfortunately if i give 4 stars for the good game isn't enough to you really take in serious my review, once you solve the issues will be more than happy to change for 5 stars because I love yugioh in special the game, I'm doing this to help the game to become the best ever God bless you thanks.
  • Great App but needs a few major improvements

    By YNHF248
I was a huge fan of the anime of this app when I was a kid so I knew I’d have fun with this. I really like and appreciate the app from the cards, the packs, the duels, everything, but I have to only rate this app 3 stars because of 3 major flaws. 1st off, the least amount of cards you can have in a deck is 20 and most of my decks only have 20 but too often, have I dueled and I lost because my starting hand was all spells, traps and monsters that needed to be tribute summoned. Also, when receiving a staring hand like this, my next 3 to 4 cards that I draw will all be spells and traps the majority of the time which makes it impossible to win. This needs to be fixed. 2nd, most to maybe all of the cards on this app were on the actual series but do not have the same effects which is a huge problem. Lastly, if you but a lot of packs and I mean a lot, a lot, the chances of you receiving UR and SR cards should be way higher than what they are right now. I understand that the developer of the app may never change the effects of the cards but the starting hand and drawing cards issue and the packs issue being corrected and fixed would be highly appreciated.
  • Believe in the heart of the cards

    By imma still play tho
I’m really not understanding why Yami Marik level 50 is so overpowered. From the first love he brings out the winged dragon of Ra with atk/def at 4000 each and also has the ability to take my monster off the field before attacking. I’ve done everything short of dumping money into the game. I bought new packs using gems, switched my cards and abilities around, tried using Marik to beat fire with fire but nothing worked. Even when I had all the necessary cards in hand, his card ability still took my card out before I could do anything. How is a regular player supposed to beat him. I love this game. I love yugioh. I love a challenge but with the randomness of how the cards are dealt I spent 2 days trying to beat him. Yes, 2 days!!! I’m not saying to change your whole system around but to have someone have a card that can one shot you IN THE FIRST MOVE is takes all the fun out of the game and brings about a sense of hopelessness. The amount of times I told myself to “believe I’m the heart of the cards” just to lose the first turn...come on guys I’m trying not curse.
  • Great app for Yu-Gi-Oh lovers!

    By AdoraAzrael
I’ve been a long time Yu-Gi-Oh lover and have been playing the physical card game for many years now. When I first heard about this app I avoided it like the plague for the first year of release because I thought it was just going to be another awful Konami cash grab and I’ve personally not been to happy with the company as a whole for a while now. It was my little brother who got me into playing and I’m glad he did! It’s been a lot of fun, and I’ve been able to enjoy it WITHOUT having to purchase anything. Yea, its a bit annoying at the start, but there are plenty of great free to play decks that you can do fairly well with (my favorite one being Aliens at the moment) that’ll help you earn gems to get more packs and build up your collection. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the micro transactions are definitely tempting and annoying at the same time and some of the characters don’t seem as balanced as other with their skills and level up rewards, but hopefully this will improve with time. Konami still hasn’t won me over, though, this is a great step forward!
  • Where are the holograms it’s 2018..

    By Its Time 2 Duel
While this a great game I am a little disappointed in the fact that you only have 3 card slots for monsters and trap/spell cards. That does make games shorter but really who didn’t love a long and epic duel even with some computers from some of the reviews I’ve read it seems like a lot of them can mix it up with the best of them. It’s annoying and tedious how many gems you need in order to get new cards I refuse to pay my actual hard earned money to unlock them.. and my biggest complaint is where are the duel holograms... when I play my buster blader or any monster I expect instead of a moving picture to see my monster pop out of the card and have a different stance when he’s in attack mode vs when he’s in defense mode the older Yu-Gi-Oh! Games have done this so I don’t see why a game that’s been hyped up for so long has failed to do it? I don’t think that I’m asking for the whole world but this is the fundamental part of the show/game I summon my monster in attack position and the creature pops out of the card all I’m saying is they should be working on fixing this issue and making it possible
  • Had potential

    By User5848
Not going to lie this game had so much potential. I have had it for well over a year and a half now and when I first got it it was pretty good. People who paid did have a slight advantage, but nothing you couldn’t overcome if you grinded and got creative. Now as they have been releasing more and more cards and the way that the game is structured to obtain those cards it has turned into a pay to win when it comes to competitive. If you pay you are able to get these super OP already built decks for you that almost guarantee you will win against anyone who doesn’t pay. It has taken the fun out of the game especially since the new cards have effects that give them 3000ish attack, can be special summoned on the first turn, and then spell or trap cards can’t be used against them. So how are you suppose to win against that? Like I said loves it when it first came out but the designers have gotten greedy and turned it into a pay to play and so it’s slowly losing the whole point of the game for me. The strategy aspect of it is nonexistent, and losing over and over isn’t really all that fun. So if you have about $200-$300 dollars to spend this game is great, but if not be ready to grind and then only be able to get so far.
  • Fun Waste of Time

    By wpnorm
Been playing for 161 days and only spent a little bit of money during one of the card sales. This game is a lot of fun if you played the card game, and even if you didn't, it's still fun and easy to pick up. My only complaint: When leveling up characters, you unlock exclusive SR (and sometimes UR) cards. Currently, you're only limited to one of the character level up SRs like Time Machine or Majesty with Eyes of Blue. I want to be able to obtain more copies of the SR cards available only through leveling up characters. My suggestion is give the option after 100 duel victories in PVP to exchange the glossy SR ticket for one of the limited character SRs. I feel like this would still be balanced way of getting copies of some of the better cards only available through characters. If the worry is that doing this will decrease the drive to obtain the lvl 40 SR rewards, make it so you have to have leveled that character up first before a second copy could become available.
  • Card glitches and those cheap “fur” creature cards

    By dherndy17
My first complaint is with when you lay a “trap jammer” in the first turn and for some reason it just doesn’t work. Like if I’m going first and I lay a “trap jammer” down, and the other person lays the go-to “wall of disruption”, that everyone has a double of in their deck, for some reason I just can’t activate my “trap jammer”. My second complaint is something that NEEDS to be addressed, seriously. These “fur” creature cards need to be capped or something. If I go first against someone w/ that kind of deck, it’s done. No way I’m gonna win. I’m not gonna explain what happens because anyone who’s played against someone like that, knows what I’m talking about. They can win within two turns, easily. That’s not okay. I honestly can’t believe so many people are using this strategy too because it’s solely for winning, how can that be fun? You’re using a strategy that 100 other people are using. I even see people continually using that “floodgate traphole” card along w/ their “fur” creature deck. I mean seriously? You’re that obsessed w/ winning a game on your phone? It’s sad and very annoying, this needs to be fixed.
  • I love this game, but the GX update glitched my game

    By BulkiestArtist7
This game is great, I’m a long time fan of all of yugioh. I’ve been playing the card game and watching the show since I was young. I’ve put tons of time into this app, (but thank god not money) because when the new GX update came out I was super excited because Jaden and his hero’s are my favorite part about yugioh and I was looking forward to making a hero deck. So I updated, and now after going to the GX world and linking with Jaden, I go through his intro where he is talking to winged kriboh and after he’s done talking and it’s about to take me back to the game, it freezes on a black screen... now I can’t even save my data for a data transfer because every time I going into the game now, it forces me into his intro so I sit through it again and again, time after time and it keeps freezing on the black screen. I’ve even tried letting it sit on that screen for an hour and nothing happens. So now I can’t play the game because I don’t want to lose my progress because I’m sure deleting the app and reinstalling it would work on fixing it, but I don’t want to lose all my stuff. I’d love to play this game and I’m really upset I can’t.
  • Broken Cards

    By mm1263842
This is such a great game, definitely my favorite app. It deserves 5 stars, but unfortunately many people abuse the overpowered decks the higher you get in the game. For example, tell me how amazoness onslaught isn’t broken? Same with basically any of the gear monsters, the annoying fur hire monsters, and the spellbook cards. If you’re going to include bs cards like those in the game, then bring back the classics like mirror force, swords of revealing light, and monster reborn, so people who actually like to play with a variety of cards rather than the broken ones can win. It would also be helpful to have cards such as dust tornado or mystical space typhoon to deal with spells/traps, because honestly there isn’t any solid removal cards for spells or traps. I know I speak for many when I say please get on this issue. You do such a great job updating the game and listening to your users, so please listen to this. Don’t make a game that’s great boring because everyone is using the same overpowered decks.
  • Good but could be better.

    By teflamaken
There’s a lot of good things about this game, it’s generally rather enjoyable. However, it needs a better administrator/moderator force. The amount of spam in the chat box is *horrendous*. And I feel like there should be an option to trade cards amongst your friends, that’s always been a HUGE part of Yu-Gi-Oh! Also, there’s a fair amount of basic cards that you just can’t get in this game for whatever reason (ex: Kuriboh {the regular one from the anime}). It would be nice if I could actually set up a proper theme deck for joey or yugi, or whatever. But no, there’s always cards you just cant get, which is really annoying. Also, the reward cards you get from leveling up legendary duelists are redundant. I shouldn’t be getting nothing but 3 copies of a card the duelist starts with anyway for leveling them up. If I’m gonna get Kaiba to level 35, I want to get more than just 4 copies of a card he had at level 13 anyway. (it seems that’s the case for most of these duelists you can unlock). Switch it up. And we need more Bakura Cards.
  • Fun but.. draws are not random

    By KushAstronaut
The worst thing about this game is the fact that draws are not random at all. You have a higher chance of drawing certain cards based on their rarity and position in the deck editor, and you can find evidence of this with a quick google search for a reddit thread. That said, this makes PVP a huge problem, because God knows every Japanese person you’ll play against has figured this out, and they’ll always draw exactly what they need to beat you. Sure, if you’re aware of it, you can manipulate your deck to increase your draw chances of certain cards, but you can’t manually set where cards are in the deck editor, so it’s literally just painstaking and lengthy trial and error process to build even a halfway decent deck. I really wish I would’ve realized that before sinking money into this game. It’s fun, it’s almost perfect, but for some reason they decided to not make draws random, which doesn’t make any sort of logical sense to me. I have to give it 3/5 until they decide to make it more fair.
  • I can’t believe I’m having so much fun with Yu-Gi-oh in 2018

    By This game is un-American.
I loved Yu-gi-oh as a kid but I hadn’t touched it in years because I thought a lot of the new stuff is dumb. It took a week for my brother to convince me this app was worth getting even though he raved about it because I just didn’t believe Konami could put together something this good. I immediately regretted not joining sooner. This app perfectly incapsulates every I used to love about yugioh despite being a condensed version of the game. Even if someday the nonsense that drove me away from yugioh in the first place makes its way into this app, I think the hours of joy this game has given me for over a year already are justified for a 5 star rating. (PS-While there’s certainly an incentive to spend money I haven’t felt being a f2p player has hampered me at all. Again, keeping in mind I’ve invested a lot of time into this game, which I wouldn’t call grinding because I was enjoying it)
  • Vagabond and Pay to win

By Totally NOT a Tracer main
The game has so much potential and even until today, it continues to grow but I’m losing interest for 2 reasons. 1. The Vagabond: His decks and challenges used to be so fun and exciting but now each time I face him he either is using a meta deck (not surprised) or a deck with no real win condition, I think I can speak for everyone when I say its not fun to play against a deck with 3 Wall Of Distribution, 3 Draining Shield, 3 Golden Lady Bug, 3 Kuriboh, 3 Winged Kuriboh and much more stalling cards. Its just annoying and not worth it. Solution: Why don’t you make the decks for The Vagabond instead of letting others do so? 2. Pay To Win: Honestly this is self explanatory. You pay money, completely buy out all the card packs, reset it, and then rinse and repeat. If decks are going to be strong then they should have been built to be strong with effort and time instead of money. Solution: Don’t allow players to buy card packs with real money. I understand you guys need to make some sort of money but this shouldn’t be how you do it.
  • Konami’s Malpractices

    By AlteRocK
I enjoy the game. However, I have a strong problem with Konami’s practices for this Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links. The game is designed to progressively introduce new sets of cards and strategies that over time topple previous sets. Also, key cards that were freely available originally for certain strong decks become limited over time in purpose to push customers to buy new decks. Contacting Konami about anything is unlikely to help. I have contacted them several times to get help with some problems, or to ask about cards and strategies; they usually never respond. When they do, they usually tell you to check the cards and rule book. I cannot support a company with practices that takes advantage of its loyal customers. I don’t mind paying a small fee to keep the services running and to have customer service. But in the case of Konami, you pay to have a temporarily powerful deck just so it later becomes limited. Until they change their practices, I will refrain from paying any money, playing the game seriously and will leave a 1 Star here. I encourage disgruntled players to do the same. No one here deserves to be taken advantage off.
  • Because I don't want this to happen to anyone else

    By cyber125
This game is addictive in a good way, fun as hell, and some many other ways in a good way that I can't explain in words. But I got an issue with the game because of this simple thing, no account log in stuff. I find this an issue because of what happened to me. My phone had suddenly turned off in the middle of the day and wouldn't go on again, and instead of finding a way to fix the phone, my mom had me get a new one, and all the time that I spent on that game, trying to get good cards, having a blast, was thrown out the window, which frustrated me so fricken much!!! I'm gonna tell you how to set up this game, but I for one personally think you guys should make this a game where oh start off making an account, because then if someone has to get a new phone or what not, they can get back all their stuff with ease, because I don't want the same thing that happened to me to others
  • Prefer Original Gameplay

By Nuremir the last of his name
The faster gameplay is ok, but as a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! since it first came to America, the original game style is much better. I don’t like the smaller board because it limits the strategy styles to quick play rather than actually trying to outsmart your opponent and the smaller decks size is a negative aspect as well, it limits my possibilities of what I can and can’t have in my deck, I would much rather have the 40+ size deck specifications and the larger game board. If you won’t do it for this game, then consider investing into a new game with this request in mind. As for everything other aspect of the game, I like it and I approve of Konami’s developers on this game. Please consider this request as I would love to see it happen one day real soon. (P.S. - Before you guys say it, Duel Generation isn’t what I meant when I wanted a Yu-Gi-Oh! game with a full board, it was to slow to even get through one round in a duel and it was boring as hell! Duel Links with a full size board or a new game in general is more on the point of my review).
  • Great game, awful support

    By MakesGumiLookAmazing
Duel links is my only experience playing any yugioh card games, and honestly it’s pretty fun. Frequent events, fairly generous with in game currency.. perhaps this changes as you progress through the game, I’ll never know as I had it played for roughly a month when I lost my account - and this is where things went sour. I’ve contacted konami support several times and the response each time has been frankly upsetting. I gave all of my account information, in detail, and the best konami could come up with was “we were not able to locate your account” as “the conditions did not match”. When pressed, they added this gem “we do not know which piece of information did not match since we investigate accounts using all of the information given”. What? Looking at player experiences online this doesn’t seem to be a fluke occurrence. Let me add I have had issues with different apps in the past with wonderful helpful customer service, so my expectations are not unreasonable. I’m sorry the devs have lost players due to shoddy support, because otherwise duel links was a pretty enjoyable game.
  • A solid Yu-Gi-Oh game.

I had tried this app many months ago and had trouble doing the initial setup, it got stuck in the process of downloading all the cards. I shrugged it off and deleted it. After seeing it in the top charts I thought I would give it another go on iOS 11 and I’m glad I did. The lengthy setup completed this time and I was able to play. Gameplay is very similar to the old PC games and comes with all the same pros and cons. Pros: it’s a well implemented and faithful rendition of the actual card game with real deck building Cons: the antics during the dual are excessive but in line with the anime (I.e. “You activated my trap card!”) which slightly distracts from gameplay. Also as former player of the card game the starting duals are trivially easy as the opponents make extremely poor moves and have extremely bad cards. I hope these are just “tutorial” matches and this improves as I progress in the game. EDIT: Reduced by one star for lack of ANY offline gameplay. I didn’t notice when I wrote the review, but the moment you lose connectivity the game loses all functionality. A “cannot connect to server” dialog blocks access to everything until you reconnect. This is unreasonable behavior considering how large the game is and how much local functionality is clearly available if not for this artificial limitation. Edit tl;dr: no deck viewing/editing, AI grinding, or anything at all available offline.
